Fall will be officially here September 23rd! I love everything Fall/Autumn and my love for Fall cards just grows and grows. But it is also a time to start thinking about Christmas cards.

At my next Sunday Craftin' Gals Gathering, I hope to make both Fall/Thanksgiving cards and Christmas cards. This is going to be a bit of a job deciding what to make, as I prepare kits for everyone attending.

What do you like to offer in classes or gatherings with your stamping friends? Seasonal, General, Variety?

Here are some of the Fall cards we/I have made in the past...some were cased and I want to shout out to those designers that often make my life so easy by designing beautiful case worthy cards.

I must say, that Stampin' Up! has blessed me with some of the dearest friends I know! Not only some that live across the country, but right here in my own city! The group of local girls that attend my monthly Sunday Craftin' Gals Gathering, have been so encouraging, faithful and loving to me. We have gone through illnesses, deaths and births together. I just appreciate their enthusiasm for whatever sort of project I hand them. They will always be some of the most loved people in my life. Here are just a few of them at our May tea craft day. (I was still recovering from my toe surgery).

My favorite tool from Stampin' Up! is the Paper Trimmer! Here are three reasons I choose it over other tools...

1) It can CUT my card stock and Designer Papers beautifully and accurately.

2) It SCORES my card stock and I don't have to get out another tool or add a different blade. It is all right there.

3) It measures things accurately, so usually a ruler isn't necessary. I just put my project on the grid and it tells me the height, width and length of my project. Easy Peesy!

I have this fantastic group of women who come over once a month for card making or crafting. Some have no experience at all with some of the equipment we use. So, I try to show them how to use certain things. This time I was showing one of the gals how to put the die sandwich together, and totally did a huge OOPS! I put the die in facing up so all it did was cut into the top plate! We laughed (thank goodness) and I showed her the correct way to do it. Even though some of us are what I call experienced, it still happens to us more than we can admit. What sort of OOPS have you done lately?

Hot Tip: When I get a "bundle" from Stampin' Up!, I immediately mark on the outside of the case "D" for dies (I used to put "F" for framelits") or "P" for punch, or even "EF" for embossing folder that is associated with that stamp. If there are dies for the stamp set, I put them on a magnetic sheet and store within the stamp case. That way, I know which dies or stamps go with both! I also put a red dot on the case to indicate "retired". So far in my 10 years with Stampin' Up! I have yet to sell or give away many retired stamps. 😄

What are some of your "storing" ideas for dies and stamps? I would love to hear some of them!
