It's time to get your annual Flu vaccine and the updated COVID-19 vaccine.
We will have free COVID-19 test kits available at the Health Fair.
You can also order Free At-Home COVID-19 Tests with this link: https://special.usps.com/testkits All households in the U.S. are eligible to order 4 free at-home tests from USPS.com.

The San Diego Humane Society Van is back to serve your pets.
The Kaiser Permanente Mobile van will also be back at the October Health Fair. Kaiser members can stop by to be seen, get their labs drawn, and receive vaccines.

Good morning Community member,
*September is both Prostate & Ovarian Cancer Awareness Month*
Make sure to get your annual health evaluation.

COVID-19 infections have been on the rise for the last few months.
The New COVID-19 vaccine will not be available to the public until mid-October. We will have the new vaccine available at the November 6th Health Fair.
In the meantime, stay safe by wearing a mask in enclosed spaces and test often even if you have very mild symptoms.
We will have free COVID-19 test kits available at tomorrow's Health Fair.

Unfortunately, the San Diego Humane Society Van will not be available at this month's Health Fair, but they will return next month at the October 2nd Health Fair.

The Kaiser Permanente Mobile van will be at another location tomorrow, so there will be no Kaiser member appointments this month. The KP Mobile van will return next month at the October 2nd Health Fair. Sorry for the inconvenience.

The Community Health & Resource Fair on Wednesday, June 5th, (10am - 3pm)

** June is Men's Health Awareness Month **
Women, please encourage the men in your life to attend the Health & Resource Fair and get their health screening done...(blood pressure, blood sugar, HbA1c, and lipid test).

BLOOD DONATIONS:
We are hosting a Blood Drive. San Diego desperately needs blood donations. One unit of blood saves 3 lives.
You never know when you or a loved one may need a blood transfusion. The rarest blood type is the one NOT on the shelf when a patient needs it.
Please consider donating blood at this month's health fair. The first 10 donors will each get a $10 Visa gift card.
For every 10 donations, a $25 Visa gift card will be raffled. For 20 donations, we will raffle two $25 Visa gift cards.

The Community Health & Resource Fair on Wednesday, May 1st, (10am - 3pm) provides various FREE health screening services, resources, and food distribution. We are also hosting a Blood Drive. *November is Diabetes Awareness Month. Visit our Community Health & Resource Fair on Wednesday, November 1st to be screened for Diabetes or check your HgA1c to see how well your Diabetes is currently controlled. "Know your numbers".
*Unfortunately, we will not have COVID vaccines this month but hopefully we will have them for the December 6th Health Fair.
NOTE: The Blood Bank is in need of donors at the Health Fair on Wednesday. PLEASE consider donating blood.
Each donor will receive a Jersey Mikes coupon. The actual blood donation process only takes 15 minutes and an additional 15 minutes is needed for paperwork and a fingerstick to verify that you are not anemic. Please give 30 minutes of your time this Wednesday to save lives. Your donation will save 3 lives. They take walk-ins but you can schedule an appointment by clicking the link below or scanning the QR code on the flyer below. We encourage everyone to donate. June is Men's Health Month.....we must strive to get and keep the men of our community healthy so they can live a long and enjoyable life.

Ladies, please encourage all the men in your life to get a health check up. Grandfathers, fathers, uncles, brothers, spouses/partners and sons all need to have their blood pressure, blood sugar, cholesterol, HIV and Hep C, colon and prostate checked. Various screening exams are recommended depending on their age. Encourage them to get all the vaccines they are due for including their COVID vaccine and booster.
Tomorrow is the next Health & Resource Fair.

Stop by the Health Fair to receive your COVID bivalent booster.

NOTE: Last week, FDA authorized and CDC recommended.....
Anyone 65 years and older, may now receive a 2nd COVID bivalent booster if your last booster was over 4 months ago.
Any immunocompromised person may receive a 2nd COVID bivalent booster if your last booster was at least 2 months ago.
You will receive a $20 gift card for receiving your booster.
