Charlie believed in the power of dialogue. His solution to the deep division in world views is to sit and listen to those you disagree with, and have the difficult, uncomfortable conversation. His words on school campus were reasonable and respectful to those who engaged with him. Pregnancy Care Clinic dialogues with people every day saying the same things:

- Human life begins at conception.
- Taking a human life is unjust and wrong.
- The circumstances of the unborn's existence is not relevant to their value.
- Abortion is traumatic and hurts women.
- That the unborn cannot speak for themselves means our society needs to be more careful to protect them.

Charlie was not motivated by hate. Rather it was because he recognized God's love of all people. Charlie loved people enough to go to them and reason with them of a better way. No one wants to hear they are on the wrong path at first. In the end we are thankful for the correction.

PCC invites people to come in confidence for that dialogue. Charlie was the braver, to go to the people in full view of all. Charlie's voice was not silenced by the assassin's bullet. His voice and courage will live on in his martyrdom. The thousands of his followers will rise up to do more than they ever would have. PCC asks our leaders to recognize September 10th as Charlie Kirk Day. We pray for the Kirk Family as they mourn, knowing God will comfort them. Pregnancy Care Clinic is taking the State of California to court again. A little over a year ago CA Attorney General Rob Bonta sued a handful of pregnancy Centers for offering and advertising Abortion Pill Reversal. This is a safe procedure that has been documented to successfully save lives and reverse the course of the first pill in the RU 486 (abortion pill) regimen.

Over a year prior, our board of directors created a five year plan that included offering the new Abortion Pill Reversal process as a new service. We also engaged in advertising abortion pill reversal on billboards. Our board determined that time is of the essence for any woman that might change her mind after taking the first pill, so our clinic should offer it, and promote it!

The success of Abortion Pill reversal flies in the face of the narrative the abortion industry pushes. But the truth is, women do have regret and they do change their mind! Rob Bonta’s legal attacks against pregnancy centers amounts to a First Ammendment violation. Pregnancy Centers have the right to provide services and advertise those services that conform with our stated Mission. Ironically Rob Bonta is removing a woman’s choice by legally attacking those clinics offering this service! No woman should be forced to go through with an abortion that she no longer wants.

After Rob Bonta’s lawsuits against Pregnancy Centers offering Abortion Pill Reversal, our board of directors chose to suspend plans to begin offering the service, and we suspended our advertising campaigns out of fear of Rob Bonta’s lawsuits. Our right to freedom of speech and practice is being “hushed” by CA Attorney General Rob Bonta. A State cannot silence the speech of a person or an organization that they do not agree with!

Today our Attorneys at Alliance Defending Freedom (ADF) have filed our case titled NIFLA v. Bonta, Case No. 2:24-cv-08468. PCC is a member of NIFLA, so we are adding our complaint on behalf of the 173 Pregnancy Centers in California. Fortunately the same case was taken before a New York Judge where the centers in New York won about a month ago! We expect the same victory in California.

The need for Abortion Pill Reversal cannot be understated. Unfortunately this week PCC was asked to help a young woman that was trying to reverse her Chemical Abortion. We had to turn her away because of CA Attorney General Rob Bonta’s attacks. PCC could have otherwise helped her.

Super great news!

On August 22, 2024, Federal Judge John Sinatra granted NIFLA a preliminary injunction, which prevents Attorney General Letitia James from restricting pregnancy centers' speech about Abortion Pill Reversal (APR).

The ruling is a huge loss for New York and will reverberate across the country to other states in cases where NIFLA is defending the free speech rights of pregnancy centers.

New York AG Letitia James abusively wielded her governmental authority against pregnancy centers that advertise about APR. She sued 11 NIFLA member pregnancy centers and Heartbeat International, which manages the Abortion Pill Rescue network, accusing them of spreading “false and misleading” information.

Judge Sinatra wrote a wonderful decision. NIFLA is pleased that he cited two of NIFLA's other victories - NIFLA v. Becerra (our Supreme Court victory against the state of California) and NIFLA v. Raoul (our federal court victory against Illinois). We thank Alliance Defending Freedom and Thomas More Society for their staunch defense of our First Amendment rights. With their constitutional litigation expertise, NIFLA is layering precedent-upon-precedent that supports the right of free speech for pro-life pregnancy centers. In rendering his decision, Judge Sinatra said the following:

"The First Amendment protects Plaintiffs' right to speak freely about APR protocol and, more specifically, to say that it is safe and effective for a pregnant woman to use in consultation with her doctor.”

“Plaintiffs are irreparably harmed each day that their First Amendment freedoms are infringed.”

During the hearing, the Attorney General … "admits that no one has been harmed by Plaintiffs' speech."

Pregnancy centers truthfully inform women that it may be possible to halt the lethal effects of chemical abortion through the administration of progesterone, a safe and naturally occurring hormone that can counteract the fatal effects of abortion drugs 64-68% of the time. It is estimated that more than 5,000 unborn babies have been saved this way!

NIFLA is also fighting with our friends at Heartbeat International, Alliance Defending Freedom, and Thomas Moore Society to stop California Attorney General Rob Bonta in near identical cases of harassment. Pregnancy Care Clinic is playing a key role in those lawsuits, where our ability to add abortion pill reversal to our services is being squelched. That is to say, our first amendment guarantee to free speech is threatened by California Attorney General Rob Bonta's harassment of Pregnancy Centers offering this life saving treatment.

Judge Sinatra's ruling should send a clear message to California's Attorney General. No woman should be forced to complete an abortion she no longer wants. California Attorney General Rob Bonta is taking choice away from women!
