Being an OT means I get to be a part of helping children explore what is meaningful in their life. Creating a naturalistic, home-based therapeutic environment opens up opportunities for occupational performance to unravel in the real context of where life happens.

This session wasn’t about picking guavas from my yard- it was about following my client’s lead, leaning into his self-identity and sparking joy in nature and in connection with one another.

Kids are our best teachers, if we take the time to listen!

Calling all families and grandparents with kids in Point Loma! Amazing local businesses are bringing the fun on November 15!

Come to Westminster Park on 11/15, from 10am-12pm, for great activities hosted by caring local businesses and organizations. There will be a bounce house, rock painting, gymnastics, musical instruments and so much more! Kids will have the opportunity to develop community spirit and love for the park by participating in a park clean-up with the PLA's very own Mean Green Team!

Let’s come together for a morning of fun, friends, and community spirit! 💚

Mental health is at the root of everything we do in sensory integration. It’s at the root of human behavior, neurology, and occupational performance.
So when a client guides the session towards a therapeutic activity that brings about regulation, connection to nature, and positive self-worth, you don’t pass up the opportunity to join in.
