2 months since I posted my OOO and I’m here to share some pretty big news. I knew I couldn’t come back on this space until I could announce this big update. So here we go. 💕 ⁣

My love and I are relocating to Portland, OR and the doors to Rooted Holistic Bodywork will be closing end of April. After almost 3 years of working at this straight from mi corazón (my heart) business, I’m welcoming in evolution, spaciousness, ease and a slower pace of living. ⁣
⁣
As of May 2022 this account will become a mix of personal + fun things I’m studying/learning in body based healing therapies under the umbrella “Rooted Holistic Healing Arts” and my teaching/online biz endeavors will be hosted over 🤘🏾(Give a follow if you haven’t already—please and thank you). ⁣
⁣
If you scroll left you will read heartfelt words of the weight that came with making this decision and my hope + prayer for every single person I’ve had the pleasure of healing out loud with since I opened RHB in 2019. ⁣

Haven’t been all up in yo feed since the website launched back in Late July. Launching an online business whilst running a successful in-person business is NO FXCKING JOKE and it left me feeling tapped on being able to show up on the interwebs. ⁣

My love and I closed out a pretty big “adult-ing” chapter in July which required a lot of my mental and emotional energy leaving me with enough for my personal life + my clients. 🙏🏾 ⁣

Feeling really grateful for allowing myself to checkout of this space as much as I needed to. It allowed me to tend to what needed to be tended to and now I’m feeling bright, shiny and new aka ready to bring value into your feed content once again! ⁣

𝐀 𝐛𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐢𝐬 𝐫𝐞𝐛𝐨𝐫𝐧 ✨⚡️😭⁣

On my drive home last night after seeing my new brand kit in Canva—I was overwhelmed with gratitude thinking about my “arrival.” I kept saying to myself, “my god—I’m actually doing it.” Thinking of all the beautiful soul client humans I helped to heal that day, I began to have a “movie montage” moment + revel in all my hard work to arrive at this exact moment. ⁣
⁣
I looked around at my new car that I was able to lease ALL ON MY OWN (huge feat as I’ve been rebuilding my credit for the last 3 years), thought about the beautiful home that I was driving to + the equally beautiful human waiting for me in it—my sweet Libra love, my soul love, my partner + husband. ⁣
⁣
This is probably the first time in my life I have ever identified with the change of a season so much. The many gifts of hope, rebirth+ renewal spring has brought to me this year—I almost began to cry last night with joy of this exact moment. ⁣
⁣
Being my own boss. I set a goal out this year that I would not go back to work for the spa/anyone else. With the love + care of this beautiful community here in I’m doing it. Thank you from the bottom of my of my heart for sharing me on your stories, talking about me to your friends + family, leaving reviews, choosing to do body/energywork healing with me over a corporate spa—truly it means more than you can ever know. With 100,000+ small biz closing last year, I don’t take it lightly that I made it through in one piece. ⁣

As if it’s not enough to be feeling the myriad of emotions that come with a one year reflection since the Pandemic touched down in the U.S.—our AAPI/Asianx community brothers, sisters, non-gender conforming members experience yet ANOTHER Hate crime where the priority is humanizing the killer in stating, “he had a bad day,” instead of prioritizing THE VICTIMS by calling the shooting for what IT IS. A hate crime. I’ve been pretty LOUD AF in my stories + am offering some more constructive ways of being loud here today. I have many friends + beautiful soul clients that are apart of this AAPI/Asianx community so to say I’m feeling heavy + anger is an understatement. In an effort to be SUPPORTIVE and IMPACTFUL, I hope this content provides some actionable tools/things to consider how collectively felt Trauma is showing up in our physical body my loves. ⁣

𝐄𝐦𝐨𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐁𝐨𝐝𝐲 𝐌𝐚𝐩𝐩𝐢𝐧𝐠. ⁣
⁣
Much of my studies, reading, extending education has been somatic based in that I’m interested in the connection of our emotions/traumas/pain to our physical body—specifically our muscle tissues. Studying trauma has become a passion/a bit obsessive at times for me—as it’s been a tool in healing my own traumas in my physical body. ⁣
⁣
In the first slide I show the muscles/areas of the body we are storing the MANY emotions that have come w/ the last 365+ days of white supremacy running RAMPIT AF in this county. While it’s always been there we all have witnessed the explosion of the race based violence in this country since Pandemic hit. ⁣
⁣
The second slide I list a few tools that are helpful in healing these trapped emotions in your tissues. I’ll be hopping on to do some IG lives in the next week + attempt some reels (not amazing at these) as I know that’s how everyone is consuming content these days. 🤷🏽‍♀️⁣

Today I am pleased to announce my 1st step in creating a ‘community-care healing vibe’ here at Rooted Holistic Bodywork—Group Reiki Energy Healing! I am launching my FREE monthly offering next month on the Full Moon in Libra (March 28, 2021). When dreaming of an inclusive business model I knew I wanted to create some free offerings allowing for all price budgets to be able to access healing services that we ALL need right now. ⁣

Holy sh*t balls was it nice to take a step back from social media for such a long time! Highly recommend. 🙌🏾 ⁣
⁣
When I left the space in December I discussed wanting to explore my sacredness +EXPLORE did I. Float Therapy came into my life right as this country watched the horror of 45 closing out his reign of terror unfold +therapy is a perfect name for that tank. ⁣
⁣
I pushed myself a wee-bit hard first week of the new year in my yoga practice + wound up locking my neck which lead me to float (because hai HELLA epsom salt to help my neck yes please). ⁣
⁣
Fun fact: I’m terrified of the dark + mild claustrophobia—what drew me to a small dark water tank? The silence. I felt like everything was falling apart in my country + I just wanted to feel quiet in my mind/body as my ego was beating me up pretty good for locking my neck up. ⁣
⁣
I went into my first float feeling weak in my body. As I practiced my meditation tools in the depths of a dark small room co-regulated my anxious body—I experienced something I’ve never felt before this deeply—my heartbeat.⁣
⁣
I had never heard or felt my heartbeat this fast and strongly before + my ego mind shut up as my soul took over + lay back in awe of how strong my heart was thus rendering my “I’m so weak” remark incorrect.⁣
⁣
I purchased a 3 pack that day + enjoyed 2 more floats of pure + utter blissful SILENCE.⁣
⁣
This platform/space has become pressurized + noisy AF with alllll the things we should/shouldn’t be doing + showering us w/crap we should buy to help us do the “should be doing” sh*t. ⁣
⁣
Capitalism has turned this space into the wild Wild West of digital sales + it’s taking the sacredness out of our lives + our spiritual health + wellbeing. I leave you w/this question:⁣

Since finishing “The Alchemist” last week I’ve found myself deep in reflection and exploring the multi-dimensional aspects of words like intention, sacred(ness), dharma. ⁣
⁣
With the latest news of more “terms & confusions” updates to using this app as a biz owner—I’ve decided to take a social media sabbatical through the first week of the new year, possibly second week. As I tend to creating a container of sacred space for myself to grow into the woman I want to see in my business and my personal life—no distractions are crucial at this point in time. ⁣
⁣
Getting laser focused on what my intentions are on this space + how I can serve my community while still maintaining healthy boundaries of my presence on this platform. The Great Conjunction energy doesn’t have to be limited to one day (yesterday). Journal on the themes of this day and how they can serve as a blueprint for the next 1, 5, 10 years ahead. ⁣
⁣
Yes we are locked down as we enter into 2021. Yes Pandemic life is still our reality. 2021 does not have to be 2020 all over again. I pray this year is a catalyst for 2021 applications of the lessons learned this year. Holding the collective deeply in my heart as we answer the call to find the light in the new year as it feels dark in the winter season we begin the year with. As above, so below. As within, so without. Where there is light, there is dark—May we all honor the divine dualities that live within all of us. ⁣

I feel a deep call in the dark recesses of my soul to explore and FEEL into words like sacred(ness), intention, activation, purpose, devotion, rooted, anchored. ⁣
⁣
My mentor leads a beautiful “vision mapping” course each year and she’s poured her heart and soul into re-vamping the course which will release in January. I highly recommend treating yourself to her master class as we figure out how to set goals DURING a time of uncertainty. Check it out 💕⁣

𝐄𝐲𝐞𝐬 𝐜𝐥𝐨𝐬𝐞𝐝—𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐫𝐝 𝐞𝐲𝐞/𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐮𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐨𝐩𝐞𝐧 ✨⁣

I remember meeting a visually impaired massage student early on in my HHP program and learning about his experience of doing Bodywork with no eye sight to guide him. I was deeply moved by the fact that his hands were his eyes for doing Bodywork. This concept became the groundwork for how I grew into my Bodywork practice over the years. ⁣
⁣
I remember challenging myself after I watched my teacher to close my eyes and practice the techniques we were learning in class. I found every time I closed my eyes, I moved slower and breathed deeper. I felt so connected to my partners anatomy + energy. ⁣
⁣
Once I completed the beast of a class 100 hour “Anatomy for Bodyworkers” course half way thru my program—it was as if I became super man and could see the muscles + their attachments with my hands. ⁣I fell in love with the Human Body and just how magical we are down to a cellular level. 😍 An is born.
⁣
Once I completed 100 hour “deep tissue sculpting” course—I learned how to see with my forearms. Sinking deep into the tissues as my partner and I breathed together, I geeked out on achieving muscle release in the attachment site—Pecs + Levator Scap are hands down my fave releases. 🤓⁣
⁣
This year gave me the words to describe what I do as a Bodyworker—thank you for helping me discover the sacredness in my work. To understand who I am in the world as a conscious human that brings my own unique approach to Body + Energywork. 💕 ⁣
⁣
San Diego currently is still allowing “Massage Studio” in person/in door services to be rendered. Both treatment spaces I treat+practice out of are to CAL/OSHA standard as your safety is my number one priority. ⁣Have Distance Reiki offerings too 💕
⁣
Coming back to my Energy+Bodywork practice has shown me how much we all need this work. This year has put our immune+nervous systems in a compromised state. ⁣
⁣

When I thought about how I wanted to re-enter this space in Oct after so many months of not being present as I was in the depths of my own inner-shadow work healing—I knew I wanted to unpack the many letters behind my name. ⁣

In the land and time of certifications, abbreviated letters & all the titles that many humans work their ASSESS off to attain + claim as their own—it is my intention in unpacking the titles you see me speak to in my biz that you can get a better feel for what my soul work I was put on this earth to do entails/what you can expect when you work with me. ⁣

𝟏𝐬𝐭 2 𝐩𝐡𝐨𝐭𝐨𝐬: 5/19/18–Post level 1 weekend training in SF where I studied under the 1st woman I ever received Reiki from, Caroline Vigery. My heart was so unbelievably heavy as I had just taken a step back from massage due to some⁣
trauma I experienced in my first job that left me injured. I went back to what I knew—retail management & was exhausted mind/body/soul. While Level 1 felt like a breath of fresh air—arriving back to OC where the harsh reality of a relationship + living environment that was choking my growth and potential—it would take me 1.5 years to level up. ⁣
⁣
𝟑𝐫𝐝 𝐩𝐡𝐨𝐭𝐨: 12/7/19–Post level 2 class and I was feeling WEIRD. My self manifested chaos life came shattering before my eyes that week & led me to a reiki session with BOTH my masters that had just attuned me where we discovered I was living another persons soul contract & it was time to CUT THE CHORD. This has been my Inner work since last Dec amongst other things. ⁣

𝟒𝐭𝐡 𝐩𝐡𝐨𝐭𝐨: 11/14/20– eyes clear, not a single wrinkle on my face. Saturday was one of the most profound HOLISTIC healing experiences of my life. In a guided meditation my Reiki Spirit Guide made themselves known to me & all the parts of me that left my body thru my traumas over the years came back during my Attunement. I am whole. I complete. I am enough. ⁣I trust my “spiritual support team” protects & looks out for me always. I feel joy like I never have before.

Becoming a Reiki Master has been close to a 3 year journey for me & it has taken me to the core of my shadow work which some days I thought would eat me alive from the pain of this core. I feel like it’s New Years already for me as I’m bursting at the seems w/all the ways I want to show up for the collective & get to WORK. ⁣
