Here is a case of acute low back pain that began after hell week at the US Navy Seal Buds program along with heavy squats....he is also a Jiu Jitsu practioner.

The pain is not discogenic; there is no pain with Valsalva maneuver, no radiculopathy, and an MRI also ruled out disc involvement...

Treatment involves releasing trigger points in the muscle and fascia of the QL and Paravertebral muscles, and stimulating the motor points in the Quadratus Lumborum, Gluteus Medius and Minimus.

This is his second treatment, and he already has a dramatic reduction in pain and tightness after the first visit, and has been able to return to Jiu Jitsu without pain.
