If you walked into a Milestone OT session, you might think you’ve stepped into a super fun playdate—kids are jumping, laughing, coloring, and climbing. But there’s more going on than meets the eye!
Behind every activity is a carefully crafted, evidence-based strategy designed by our skilled occupational therapists. They know how to turn play into powerful progress.
Here’s what’s really happening behind the scenes:
- Strengthening grip and hand muscles through drawing, coloring, and crafts
- Boosting balance and coordination with obstacle courses and movement games
- Supporting emotional regulation using calming activities and body awareness tools
- Helping process sensory input through activities like swinging, bouncing, and deep pressure play
Our goal?
To help children gain confidence and independence while having so much fun they don’t even realize they’re working toward important developmental milestones.
What’s your child’s favorite way to play?
