Most people have never heard of a qEEG. But once you understand what it measures, it’s hard to imagine navigating brain health without one. 🧠
Here’s what’s actually happening during a brain map:
Small sensors placed on the scalp pick up the electrical activity your brain produces constantly — even right now, reading this. That activity is organized into brainwave frequencies, each associated with different mental states:
⭐️ Delta — deep sleep and restoration
⭐️ Theta — creativity, daydreaming and sometimes anxiety
⭐️ Alpha — calm, relaxed focus
⭐️ Beta — active thinking, problem solving (and when overactive, stress and rumination)
⭐️ Gamma — high-level cognitive processing
When someone has been under chronic stress, dealing with unresolved trauma or navigating hormonal shifts, these patterns can become dysregulated. Too much high-frequency beta activity. Not enough restorative alpha. A brain stuck in a state it can’t get out of on its own.
The qEEG makes that visible, measurable and most importantly, actionable.
Because when you know exactly what’s happening and where, care stops being a guessing game and starts being a plan.
