Forgiveness is freedom
“Of all that we're asked to give others in this life, the most difficult to offer may be forgiveness. If we were perfect, the light he (god, divinity) shines on us would just bounce right off. But the wrinkles, they catch the light. And the cracks, that's how the light gets inside us.” This Tender Land
Forgiveness is freedom. How many times have I been confined due to a smaller grudge or years worth of resentment? I’ve been learning it’s a big part of self sabotage. How can I live in love and recognize that grudges and resentments are living in fear? Fear and love, it’s my choice to decide where to live.
It may take months and many therapy sessions (lol) to even recognize there is a resentment. But I’m human, you’re human, we are not perfect. Our imperfections are what make us unique and more susceptible to love. When I’m ready to let go, the patterns of comfortability and fear make me laugh and roll my eyes.
What’s resonating for me now:
Love: to be honest, vulnerable, strong boundaries, and experience strength of my heart for myself and then other beings
Fear: to bottle everything up and continue to build on anger, weak boundaries, beating around the bush
What are you holding onto? Can you open your heart and experience strength through vulnerability? Are you willing to remember freedom through forgiveness?
