Happy 🎊 Hope you had a great week! We're sharing a success from our week, and the key word is "trial period".

We had an IEP meeting this week where we discussed the results of a 10 week trial period for a student in the general education environment. The data gathered during that time showed us that the child could be successful there, with adult support.

It can be challenging navigating parent-life and having a mentor, someone who has been there and understands your journey, can be a game changer. There are several options to consider, including:

• Special Education parents groups at your school or district, like 🏫
• Autism Society San Diego Ask Line, run by trained mentor parents, 858-715-0678 📲
• Autism Tree Project, Autism Tree ♾️
• Hope on the Hard Road offers in person and virtual parent meetings for parents who have children with any disability 💙
