Happy Wednesday ππ½ This is our last post of the month regarding how to maximize a child's IEP through their present levels and goals. We hope the discussion has been helpful.
One final thing to remember here is the need to monitor progress π As often as general education parents receive progress reports/report cards.. that's how often you should receive progress reports regarding your child's IEP goals.
Each IEP outlines how often π you should receive these progress reports. It might state 3 times/year, quarterly, each semester, etc.
If at any time during the year a child is not making measurable, meaningful progress...or they have met several goals...it might be time for an IEP meeting ππ« At the meeting you can adjust goals up or down or create new ones.
Again, hope this was helpful! Always cheering you on ππ½ ~ The Sanford Autism Advocacy Group, info@sdautismhelp.com, www.sdautismhelp.com
