Course Spotlight: Invent it Yourself: Code, Craft & Create! 🛠️🧑‍💻

Invent It Yourself: Code, Craft & Create! is a hands-on course where students combine creativity and technology to design and build their own original projects. Using beginner-friendly coding along with crafting and maker-style materials, students will experiment, problem-solve, and bring their ideas to life. From interactive games and digital designs to creative prototypes, students will learn how to invent with confidence—one project at a time.

April 14, 1955 – April 14, 2026

Since April 14, 1955, Don Diego VFW Post 7420 has stood as a place of belonging for veterans who were once excluded elsewhere.

Founded by a group of veterans determined to build their own space, the Post began in a small rented location before generations of members came together to establish our home on Logan Avenue.

For over seven decades, this Post has remained a pillar in our community, honoring service, uplifting veterans, and preserving the legacy of those who came before us.

We carry forward the legacy of those who built these walls and paved the way.

In preparation for back to school, the Association of Raza Educators and Union del Barrio will be providing a training to prepare educators and familias to protect and defend students, staff and families from ICE terror! Join us to learn how to organize your campus and community to keep us safe! Our students and families are sacred and it is our duty to stand in defense of our communities!

We’re excited to launch a new event series this summer: Sonidos Del Barrio – A Three-Part Mini Concert Series at Cesar Chavez Park on the Bay presented by ! This free, family-friendly event will celebrate music, wellness, and community. Guests can look forward to live entertainment at a main stage, a DJ session on the Pier overlooking the bay, free health and wellness activities, local art and vendors, and a relaxing atmosphere perfect for picnicking with blankets and chairs. Thank you and many more of the community for coming together to make this happen!
