Today's the day! Come join in our final celebration after 18 years on the avenue. Community Wellness will be closing our Adams Ave location with a musical celebration and a Fire Sale of all our equipment and furniture. Today 1-7p

After 18 years of service + providing over 120,000 low-cost and 35,000 free holistic therapies, (formerly AltHealNet) will officially close its Normal Heights clinic this Friday, April 24th.

In a heartfelt statement shared via Instagram, the organization cited a “perfect storm” of economic pressures—including spiked rent, departing staff, and a halved physical footprint following the sale of their building—as the reason for the closure.

While the clinical doors are closing, the San Diego nonprofit will continue its community outreach programs through grants and donations. Locals are encouraged to visit during this weekend’s Adams Ave Unplugged festival to show their support and say goodbye.

After 18 years on Adams Ave, it is with a heavy heart that we share our decision to end clinical operations at Community Wellness on Adams Ave as of Friday, April 24th. Since COVID, we've struggled to keep our clinic afloat, but with the crippling effects of our current economy, and the sale of our building driving up rent cost while taking half of our clinic footprint, it is simply untenable in its current form. We considered ways to transition to a new model, but with the recent announcements of Dr Dave, Carly, and Ryan all planning departures this month and moving in new directions, there seems little hope for success of the continuing operations for our Adams Avenue storefront.

Community Wellness Collaborative, as an organization will continue, and carry on our outreach programs through grants and donation support, while we still can. Your tax-deductible donations would still be extremely grateful and useful in keeping this program intact.

You are all invited to our final celebration for our Community and team at Adams Ave Unplugged, Sat Apr 25th 1 - 7p with many of our favorite local musicians making an appearance.

With over 120k low cost services provided and more than 35k free for community members in need, I'm so grateful to all of you for everything we've been able to accomplish together.
