Hello my people who actually read the captions, 😉 happy fall 🍁🍂 y’all!
I was sick a couple of weeks ago 😔 with some nasty flu bug thing that took me out for three or four days out of the week. Not only that- but It weakened me BIG TIME and dehydrated me to the bone. I lost over 6lbs I’ve been trying VERY hard to keep! 💪 hopefully it was n mostly water… Haven’t had a stomach flu 🤢 since I was a child!
💩 🚽 😵💫💩 🚽 😵💫 no fun!!
So exhausting…
You know what I have noticed??? I don’t get sick often- but when I do— it’s because I was already run down. Exhausted from a camping/festival- or super stressed and not sleeping or eating well for other reasons- and when we get RUN DOWN- and our immune system is already taxed, THAT’S when we get sick..🤧 🤒
Let this be a reminder to everybody to *keep your immune system healthy*.
We are exposed to viruses, bacteria, and all sorts of things that want to infect us, like staph even— ALL THE TIME.
It’s out there. It’s only a matter of whether or not it can get INTO you & latch ONTO you by having a portal like a tiny cut on your finger that’s not being protected or kept clean. It’s WILD when you think about it. 🤯 🦠 🧫 But a great way to *STAY HEALTHY* is to wash your hands- especially before you touch your face. (I think about this constantly when I’m at the gym.) and also protect your natural immune defenses.. 🤔 how do you do this?
-stress management
-sleep hygiene
-diet, hydration, nutrition
-positive outlook & mindset (HUGE)
-exercise and movement
