A Note To Our Community

From the very beginning, Beautiful Dying was created with the intention of bringing people together to explore the deeper meaning of life’s final transition. Over the years, I have had the privilege of witnessing extraordinary conversations, collaborations, and connections within this community. For that, and for each of you, I am profoundly grateful.

It has been a true blessing for me to be part of the Dying & Death Movement—bringing together diverse voices in one place and creating opportunities for each of you to meet, collaborate, and share your authentic selves and your passion for supporting others along the end-of-this-life journey.

What we have created together through Beautiful Dying has contributed to a growing movement that brings greater awareness, compassion, and dignity to the end-of-life journey.

As life continues to unfold, we are sometimes called to walk a new path. At this time, I am preparing to close the Beautiful Dying chapter of this journey. While this space will be coming to completion, the spirit of what we have created together will continue through each of you and the work you bring into the world.

Whether you were a presenter or follower, I thank you for being part of Beautiful Dying, for sharing your wisdom, your compassion, and your presence with this community.

Healing begins when we hold space for our grief. 🌟

On September 11, 2001, my brother, FDNY Firefighter David M. Weiss, Rescue 1, Midtown Manhattan was killed. His bravery and selflessness will never be forgotten. Let's light candles to honor not just his life, but also the lives of all those we grieve, then and now. 🕯️

These photos are from a candlelight vigil in San Diego, 2008, where we gathered to remember and heal together. The light from these candles represents more than just remembrance—it’s a testament to the love, unity, and courage that will continue to shine, always. 💫
