September is Childhood Cancer Awareness Month 💛

Now more than ever we need to come together and prioritize our children. Funds are being cut, cancer research is being compromised and research trials are being paused due to insufficient funds.

Our children deserve better. They deserve a chance in life. They deserve treatments that are more gentle to their little bodies yet effective attacking cancer cells.

About 45 children are diagnosed with cancer every day just in the United States.

Only seven new medications have been approved to treat childhood cancer in the LAST 30 YEARS!

It is imperative that we take action and demand better treatment and higher chances of survival.

Childhood cancer is cruel.
Childhood cancer is traumatic.
Childhood cancer is painful.
Childhood cancer leaves physical and emotional scars.
Childhood cancer takes lives.

CLEAR SCANS! 🎉

Jacob’s scans showed no signs of relapse, no evidence of disease 🤍 Jacob remains cancer free!
Also his labs came back amazing. His ferritin levels went down and are almost back to normal, and we couldn’t be happier and more grateful 🤍🥹

Thank you all for praying for Jacob, for keeping him in your thoughts 🙏🏻

God is good 🤍✨

RESULTADOS NEGATIVOS 🎉

Los exámenes de Jacob no muestran señales de relapso, no hay evidencia de la enfermedad 🤍 Jacob continúa estando libre de cancer!
También sus laboratorios salieron bien. Sus niveles de ferritina bajaron y ya casi están de vuelva a la normalidad, y no podríamos estar más contentos y agradecidos 🤍🥹

It's been a year since Jacob rang the bell. Since he finished his chemotherapy treatment 🤍

God has been so good to us. We have experienced His love and care for us. God continues providing for us and keeping Jacob cancer tree.

We keep praying. We keep fighting.

As we reach this milestone, it is important for us to honor those who have fought the same fight but earned their angel wings 🤍 you are deeply missed and always in our hearts 🙏🏻 please
watch over other kiddos fighting this battle.

Ha pasado un año desde que Jacob tocó la campana. Desde que terminó su tratamiento de quimioterapia 🤍

Dios ha sido tan bueno con nosotros. Hemos experimentado su amor y cuidado por nosotros. Dios continúa proveyendo para nosotros y manteniendo a Jacob libre de cáncer.

Nosotros seguimos rezando. Nosotros seguimos luchando.

5 days before his MRI 🙏🏻
Anxiety has kicked in (for me), but Jacob is living his best life, careless and free, as he should 🤍

Today he had appointment with his primary care pediatrician and he has been cleared for anesthesia 🎉

Good morning 🤍✨

Jacob had an amazing weekend, filled with joy and love celebrating his 3rd birthday. Although it was in May, his birthday party was in July so he could enjoy the nice weather and soak up some sun ☀️

We have been scheduled for this month’s MRI. The scan + labs will be on July 28th. Please keep us in your prayers as we approach this amazing milestone!

Jacob tuvo un excelente fin de semana, lleno de diversión y mucho amor celebrando su 3er cumpleaños. Aunque su cumpleaños fue en mayo, decidimos celebrarlo en julio para que pudiera disfrutar del lindo clima y disfrutar del sol ☀️

Ya nos han asignado fecha para la resonancia. El estudio + laboratorios serán el 28 de Julio. Por favor manténganos en sus oraciones conforme nos acercamos a esta fecha tan importante!

CANCER FREE! 💛

Jacob is cancer free! No signs of disease… Jacob is winning! 💪🏻

Our strong little man is in remission and showing no signs of this horrible monster in his little, yet strong body.

God is good 🤍🙏🏻

We are still meeting with the oncology team next week to go through the results in detail and to talk about next steps since some of his lab results are a little off, however we celebrate this victory and we can mentally rest for a couple of months.

Next MRI will be in July 🥳

LIBRE DE CÁNCER! 💛

Jacob está libre de cancer! No hay señales de la enfermedad… Jacob está ganando! 💪🏻

Nuestro pequeño hombrecito está en remisión y no muestra señales de este monstruo en su pequeño, pero fuerte cuerpecito.

Aún nos reuniremos con el equipo de oncología la semana que viene para hablar a detalle de los resultados y de los siguientes pasos a tomar, ya que algunos de sus laboratorios han salido un poco alterados, pero podemos celebrar esta victoria y descansar mentalmente por los siguientes meses.

La siguiente resonancia será en Julio 🥳
