Just because we can't see something doesn't mean it doesn't exist or is not valid. 🤷‍♂️
We are all dealing with our own struggles in our own ways. Acknowledgement of trauma is the first step in the healing process to be able to grow from it. ✅
A question I ask every patient when incorporating emotional work with chiropractic care is: "Do you believe that emotional stressors can manifest into physical pain?" 🤕 Most of time people say "yes" because they recognize a mind-body-spirit connection.
It was Candace Pert, PhD neuroscientist and pharmacologist and pharmacologist who discovered the idea of "Information Substances". These are mostly neuropeptides and neurotransmitters that our brain makes in response to situations evoking an emotional response. And these substances can get stuck in the tissues of the body and are believed to be the underlying causes of all dysfunction. 🧠
One of the main reasons that I check emotional regularity with my patients is because it could be an underlying factor of their physical function aka pain. 😫
