Because everything we provide is rooted in love—and in legacy.

The Alma G. Wise Integrative Therapy Program was created by Rick and Jill Mendlen in honor of Jill’s mother, Alma—a dedicated hospice volunteer and one of the first Healing Touch practitioners in the country. Alma believed deeply in the power of gentle, holistic care.

Today, this program makes it possible for the LightBridge Foundation to fund essential oils and other integrative therapies to patients and families in need of comfort, peace, and dignity.

At LightBridge, essential oils are more than scents—they are part of our compassionate care for hospice and palliative patients. Used to reduce anxiety, ease pain, lift mood, and support sleep, these therapeutic oils offer peace and comfort during life’s most sacred moments.

Since 2005, we’ve offered aromatherapy through our Integrative Therapy Program, made possible by generous donors to the LightBridge Hospice Community Foundation.
