🌟 This Giving Tuesday, join us in supporting military families by ensuring access to the vital support they deserve during pregnancy, childbirth, and beyond. Your contributions will help MBRNPC continue to support the birth worker community engaged with military families along with providing advocacy and resources for birth options, maternal mental health, infant feeding, and spousal employment opportunities in birth spaces. Together, we can empower military families and their support systems to thrive during such a transformative time in their lives. Let’s honor their sacrifices by ensuring they have the support they need—every donation counts! 💙

MBNRPC is proudly celebrating an achievement in becoming an officially recognized Military Spouse Owned Enterprise. The U.S. Military Spouse Chamber of Commerce created the first and only of its kind certification, in an unprecedented commitment to land military spouses a seat at the B2B table for the first time in history.
The United States has long been defended by members of the armed forces and in a silent role, military spouses support those service members. Cost of living in the U.S. often warrants dual household incomes to cope with high living expenses. Military families give up a lot in the name of freedom, from constant relocations, and time away from family, to the difficult reality that finding a career that fits this lifestyle continues to be a challenge. Secure employment for spouses continues to be an enduring sacrifice with military spouse unemployment being four times the national average, pre-pandemic.
Military spouse employment is a hot topic within the military space with hundreds of organizations working to provide solutions, improve policy, and increase opportunities for traditional employment. Traditional employment is only half of the picture. As the challenge to obtain traditional employment lingers more military spouse are turning to entrepreneurship with 48% of spouses having been self-employed or operating their own business.
As we continue building and providing resources for our communities around the world, we believe this recognition aligns with our goals of growing the birth professional community at duty stations globally.

March 22, 2024 is the start of World Doula Week! We see and support all of those doulas who support our military families around the world. We are thankful for doulas who fill the gaps in care and meet a need for our community. We strive to succeed in efforts to bring more of these resources to our military families.

Do you love birth stories and military families? Do you have leadership experience that you are ready to take to the next level? One of MBRNPC’s goals for 2024 is to build chapters at 10 (10!) locations (bases/regions) this year!

We are searching for our next Chapter Leaders, those ready to help grow a community in their current locations.

Chapter Leaders are liaisons with base leadership and programs, they work with board members to coordinate events such as birth talks, morning walks, or even professional speaker series from the local are.

We want to help you build a team, share the load AND build your own network and community. If starting a chapter has crossed your mind and you are curious about what happens next, fill out the Chapter Interest Form below.
