Galina Nikolskaya, M.D.
KEYNOTE: The Collaborative Approach to Brain Injury Recovery
She is a double board-certified neurologist with over 14 years of experience specializing in TBI and migraine management. Based in San Diego, her active clinical practice uses advanced diagnostics to treat TBI, oculomotor abnormalities, headaches, seizures, and balance disorders. She blends expertise with a passion for education. In 2025 she is co-authoring a book, Brain Injury: A Multidisciplinary and Illustrated Guide, for caregivers, TBI survivors, legal and medical professionals.
Andrea Conboy, LCSW, APHSW-C
PANEL TOPIC: How (& Why) to Develop Your Network
She has worked with brain injury survivors for over 15 years with clinical experience in neuro-rehabilitation ranging from a Level-1 trauma unit, acute rehabilitation, Day Treatment and outpatient rehab. She served on the Board of Directors of SDBIF from 2017-2020. Andrea now works in private practice as a therapist and Resiliency Coach.

PANEL TOPIC: Family & Change Dynamics
She has been treating patients with neuro-cognitive disorders, physical disabilities, special needs and complex medical problems for 44 years. Her 42-year private practice in San Diego also specializes in treating the needs of care-givers and family members. She assists survivors and their families to redefine themselves and their family dynamics following life-altering medical events. She has been a part of SDBIF since its inception and is grateful to be invited along on her clients’ life journeys.

PANEL TOPIC: Communicating with Your Network
She earned her master's degree in Occupational Therapy from CSU Dominguez Hills, and started her career in the inpatient acute hospital setting, later working in outpatient and home health services. Her interest and skillset for neurorehabilitation, lead her to join Rehab Without Walls in 2021, as an occupational therapist and currently is the primary Clinical Coordinator for the San Diego office. Vickie also serves as a Clinical Occupational Therapist Mentor for the SoCal region for Rehab Without Walls.
