Client Spotlight✨

This week we’re spotlighting Ricky! He’s been coming to the clinic for a while now and really enjoys his time here. Ricky said he especially likes that it gives the students experience with people with disabilities. He also enjoys showing the students what he’s capable of. Ricky also said he “contains more information than a book”!

Staff Spotlight ✨

This semester we’re saying bye to Camryn, so we asked her about her experience with the clinic - “I’ve been at the SDSU Adaptive Fitness Clinic for a little over two years now. I became interested in this field after my sister survived a TBI in 2021. My role here is the clinic assistant and I get to help the students learn about transfers, exercise programs, grade assignments and help educate the students on the different disabilities. I have learned so much here at the clinic, prior to working here I did not know a lot about many disabilities and the clients have all taught me so much. Working here showed me that my passion with helping people can become a career which is why I have decided to pursue my doctorate of occupational therapy at Boston University this Fall. I hope to work in a neuro rehab setting once I finish my OT program. I will take everything the clinic and the clients have taught me to be successful in school and my future profession. I will miss the clinic so much!”

Client Spotlight✨

This week we asked Sabrina about her experience at the clinic - “My names Sabrina Robinette and I was in a car accident in 2000. I started coming to the clinic a little bit after the accident. I like that I can meet new people, but I don’t really like working out. I like doing the Omnicycle and the NuStep when I come to the clinic.”
