The widest age gap we’ve ever had and yet it keeps working, getting people together in a meaningful way. No phones, lots of presence and intentionality.
These retreats keep changing lives for the better including mine. I learn more about myself from watching people challenge themselves and share themselves with others.
I don’t know I could have dreamed it would get this good but I’m so grateful it has. It pushes me to be better.

Getting to share what’s helped me has been so healing for me. When we give we truly receive. Ten years ago this month I got fired from my corporate “dream job” and I never would have thought I’d be giving healthy living coaching to people in Bali on a retreat with a company I started. It’s taken a lot of learning, patience and trust, and we’re just getting started!

Our time in Bali was truly life changing for me. I gained so much clarity on how I want love and community to feel. When we’re able to hit these peak emotions through peak experiences we have a reference point to come back to. I keep practicing these ways of thinking and feeling when I have doubt.
Next year’s bali retreat is only for the folks already in our community committed to these experiences and connections.

Sobbing in the taxi on the way to the airport leaving Bali. This island and its people mean SO much to me. My life is always changed for the better when I come here.
Our retreat was my favorite I’ve ever been a part of. It was as transformative as it was fun. We found so much love and joy here together.
I’m so touched by the kindness of the locals. They are so warm and loving. They put god and community first. They are deeply devotional to these things yet don’t impress their beliefs on anyone else. They have very little yet are so willing to give so much. Everyone here smiles seemingly all the time.
The friends I’ve made here are the hardest part about leaving. I’ve never felt so loved, accepted, seen, heard and supported. The forces that delivered us all here and allowed us to be a part of each others lives is nothing short of magical.

My goal is to help every person I have the opportunity to work with feel good above all else, whatever that looks like for them. I want you to leave our time together better than you arrived with a clear idea of how to create healthy living habits. I’ll share with you the tools that have helped me feel truly good in my body and in my soul and be your biggest support getting where you’d like to be to feel GOOD.
Welcome! My name is John Quirk and I am a yoga teacher, athlete, retreat leader, chef, rescue dog owner, personal trainer, world traveler and self-truth seeker. I want to help you develop healthy habits for healthy living in a way that feels FUN.
Fun is huge for me, there are no two ways about it, it’s everything. If it’s not fun, not only won’t it last, you’ll be more frustrated by trying to start again and again. Think about a “diet” or “exercise regimen” - did reading those two things make you cringe bit? That’s OK, they do that for did me too. The problem with a diet or “regimen” of any kind that you don’t genuinely want to do, is that it feels finite. I do this, for this long, to get this. That’s not how habits and eventually lifestyles are created. Habits are made from integrating healthy choices AND fun so you make those choices for life.
Whether you’re in search of motivation and a high-quality workout, adding or improving your yoga practice, gentle movement and stretching, guidance in meditation and breathing techniques, or maybe a few of these things sound like they may help you. There’s no one-size-fits all when it comes to wellness and it’s important to look at the whole for any habits we wish to adopt so integrating them into our lives doesn’t feel like work, it feels like FUN.
I’ve spent YEARS experimenting with different workouts that I didn’t really like, fad diets and forcing myself to do hours of cardio while hating every second. What was true for me is that if I didn’t look forward to doing it, I wouldn’t do it consistently, I’d get frustrated and then start over. That doesn’t mean it can’t be challenging, I have clients that LOVE to sweat and dig deep, but it MUST be fun. If you can’t be consistent with it, it will always have an endpoint, who wants to stop feeling good?
I was lucky to benefit from some great teachers and I know how important that is to us as humans on a deep level. I will cheer you on and keep you motivated on those days where it’s tough and share with you my knowledge if I think I can help. I also think it’s important to be transparent with people when I’m not a good fit for what they need, but maybe I know someone who is.
