Lisa Hampton created Mindful Fitness in 1994 out of the belief that mindful principles of yoga would benefit traditional fitness programs. Through the years, her clients have practiced Mindful Fitness principles and benefited from safer, more effective and more enriching fitness experiences. Mindful Fitness offers individual and group fitness training and private and group yoga classes. Lisa was a forerunner in creating outdoor exercise classes and started Park Fitness in 1995, a combination walking and circuit training class at San Diego's parks and beaches. Mindful Fitness is a registered trademark and any unauthorized use constitutes infringement.

Prioritizing a venue for a weeklong yoga retreat is key as it determines the retreat's atmosphere and dictates the energy and experience more than any other factor. Ventozelo Hotel & Quinta is by far one of the most beautiful and serene venues I've used for my retreats. Casa Grande is one of our two houses for our Whispers of the Douro Yoga Retreat in September. It was amazing to be back at the lavender farm for my 20th retreat! A very beautiful and magical place, our Mindful Beginnings New Year’s Intention Retreat was a wonderful way to start the year. A labyrinth meditation, intentions setting practice, yoga and a sound bath along with a nutritious lunch nourished our bellies and our souls. I’m very grateful for each person who shared in our day and to our hosts, Heidi and Tim for their support.
