⭐️⭐️⭐️💫✨❤️💞 Dear colleagues and fellow facilitators in Family Constellations: The journey of Men's work began for me in 1995 driven by a most grievous act of violence in a fit of rage by me then. (I was raised, learned, studied, practiced, trained, and lived a culture and way of fighting with my fists and weapons with men and around men since I threw my first punch in grade school.) These on and off acts continued until I finally came face-to-face with my own soul, my own wounding, my ancestral wounding, and many other souls and spirits that had been entangled in the core of my family line. In short, the roots of this pain and violence were exposed, uprooted, and new healthy roots were planted and/or regenerated. And I was the bearer of healing for my ancestors here in this life now and for my future generations.
That healing and peace came about through my immersion, deep involvement, participation, and training in Family Constellations which began in late 2000 and continued apace from 2001-2004 virtually every week, and then from 2005 until 2007 at least twice a month. I have been a father, son, brother, husband, child, nation, God, unknown, forefather, ancestor, soldier, warrior, death, the dead, the forgotten, life anew, life renewed, and more (you all know what I speak of) in the pieces of other's work and my own that revealed my own place in the constellation of our Human Soul.
I bring this meme and its subject to light for each of your facilitators to please consider. What my specialty has always been is working with men...... the "worst" of men: those who have taken lives, those who have destroyed life, those who are a danger to life, those who are incarcerated for crimes of violence and more, those soldiers and warriors who have gone to battle, to war, to kill or die, and much worse. They do not need to be described in detail. The point is: these men are in dire need of help. And most of them are looped into a cycle of useless desensitizing drugs (or alcohol), or repetitive talk therapy.
In my constellation circles, I had an open door invitation to veterans out of the VA, to men ordered by court to attend Domestic Violence groups, to youth-at-risk, to gangs, to recovering drug and alcohol addicts, and to released felons. Mind you, they need to be ready and willing. And I had to have more than one private session before bringing them to a group circle. Because many of them could NOT or barely pay, my exchange was for them to pass it forward or bring someone else along even complimentarily. By 2007 when I left Southern California, I was facilitating groups of the most in pain yet also the most impoverished. Long story short, facilitating Family Constellations was primarily a healing vehicle, not an income earner. And it WORKS. It brought healing in their eyes, their lives, their bodies, and their souls. And it deepened my own healing.
So I ask each of you to consider creating some space and opening to invite some of these hurting men into your healing circles. For the good of our men, our families, our societies, and our world. I am not telling you anything you do not know, dear facilitators. Please kindly consider finding a way to include these men. Or at least begin reaching out to them and letting them know that HEALING is POSSIBLE. And it is HERE NOW. Thank you.
