Shelby has served as the primary architect of our Assisting Individuals in Crisis & Group Crisis Intervention Training (GRIN), bringing multiple agencies together to implement it locally. She also leads our Peer Support Team, a 26 member team serving over 700 employees, guiding more than 300 activations to support colleagues through both work related and personal challenges.

She consistently models excellence, compassion, and leadership — strengthening our workforce every day.

🚑 Inspiring the Next Generation of EMS Professionals!

American Medical Response San Diego was proud to join the Promise Zone Career Expo at Balboa Park, a student-led event supporting young people as they explore real career pathways.

Our EMTs connected with high school students, answered questions and walked them through different pathways to getting started in a career in EMS.

When students can meet EMS professionals from their own communities, it opens doors and helps them imagine what’s possible.

⚾🚑 Opening Day in Solana Beach! 🚒❤️

We were thrilled and honored to be invited once again to the Solana Beach Little League Opening Day Ceremony! There’s nothing more American than baseball—it teaches teamwork, sportsmanship, confidence, and the importance of coming together as a community.

Our American Medical Response San Diego team had a fantastic time at the field alongside our partners at the Solana Beach Fire Department, celebrating the start of a new season and supporting the families who make this league so special.

In between the cheers and the excitement, our Community Outreach team also taught players and parents how to perform hands‑only CPR—a simple, powerful skill that can save a life when every second counts.

Thank you, Solana Beach Little League, for having us back. Wishing all the teams a fun, safe, and unforgettable season.

🚑❤️ Partnering to Teach Lifesaving Skills in Encinitas! ❤️🚒

American Medical Response San Diego teamed up with our colleagues at Encinitas Fire Department to help certify a group of amazing students at The Grauer School in CPR.

These students were energetic, engaged, and eager to learn—exactly what we love to see when teaching lifesaving skills. By the end of the session, they were officially certified and confident in their ability to step up during an emergency.

We’re proud to support youth in our community and grateful for strong partnerships that make trainings like this possible. Great job, Grauer School students—you’re now part of a growing group of young lifesavers here in San Diego! 🙌

🚑🍳 Celebrating Our AMR San Diego Team! 🍔🚑

Last week we hosted a breakfast and lunch cookout to celebrate American Medical Response San Diego personnel. From our field crews to our support staff, our team shows unwavering dedication to caring for our community.

This gathering also marked the launch of GMR’s new Core Behaviors—a renewed commitment to how we support one another, serve our patients, and show up for the communities we care for. These behaviors help strengthen our culture and guide how we grow and thrive together.

We’re proud of our team and grateful for everything they do, on every shift, in every community that we serve. ❤️💛💙

❤️ Hotcakes & Heartbeats with Solana Beach Fire Department! 🥞

On Valentine’s Day, American Medical Response San Diego’s Community Outreach Team was proud to support Solana Beach Fire Department’s Hotcakes & Heartbeats event.

Community members enjoyed pancakes while learning Hands-Only CPR, receiving free blood pressure checks, and supporting Solana Beach Backpacks for Kids and the Free Farmer’s Market.

Our team provided blood pressure screenings and heart health education, and partnered with firefighters to teach life-saving CPR skills.

Thank you to Solana Beach Fire for hosting such a meaningful event — and to everyone who came out to support great causes and learn skills that save lives!

❤️🚑 Another great day saving lives through education! 🚑❤️

The American Medical Response San Diego Community Education Team had an incredible time at Mt. Carmel High School as part of our long‑running CPR in Schools Program. Together with our amazing partners at the Compress & Shock Foundation, we trained students in Hands‑Only CPR and showed them how simple it can be to step in and save a life.

We were also joined by our colleagues at REACH Air Medical Services, who landed one of their state‑of‑the‑art air ambulances right on campus! Students had the chance to explore the aircraft and see firsthand how emergency medical teams respond when every second counts. 🚁

Empowering young people with lifesaving skills is one of the most impactful things we can do for our community—and these students absolutely rose to the occasion.
Saving lives through education—one school at a time. ❤️🙌
