Did you know all curl patterns have a classification? This is my favorite curl chart. This classification is important because it helps determine which types of products are best to use (Creams, gels, leave in conditioners, custards, etc). A few other factors to consider are elasticity and porosity, but I’ll save that for another post. I’m a mix of 2C and 3A. I love to use What’s your curl type and what are your favorite products to use for your curls?

Let’s talk placement and patterns. This clients likes to be ultra blonde, but wants to maintain some definition. By using diagonal sections instead of horizontal or vertical, you’ll get more blend. Alternating babylights, baby slices and standard weave patterns you’ll get more dimension between and a softer line of demarcation when roots grow out. We could all use some of that during this pandemic! 😊
