Iโm deeply saddened to hear of Brigitte Bardotโs passing. She did so much for animal rescue, especially for those who had no voice like the baby seals she fought to protect.
Over the years, she lived on her estate alongside hundreds of rescued animals: donkeys, dogs, and many other small, unforgettable characters.
They were not simply animals to her; she considered them her children.
Though she denounced her only biological son, saying his birth felt like a tumor, I wonโt hold that against her. Parenthood is not for everyone, and like many women, she felt forced into a role she never chose for herself. Her life took a different shape, one rooted in care and protection rather than convention.
Blessings to her spirit. May the animals she saved, and the legacies she leaves behind, continue to offer comfort and refuge to many animals in the years to come. May that compassion ripple forward, long after her passing.
