Salus loves to give back to the community, and seniors who are isolated or alone hold a special place in our hearts. For nearly 10 years, we have participated in the Council on Aging of Southern California's Smile Makers program, donating blankets to seniors with no family and helping to put smiles on their faces. Quincie Novella continues to head up our company's donation drive. When asked why, she said, "I look forward to dropping off these blankets each year because it fills my heart to give the gift of giving to those in need. We are truly blessed!" Thank you for your compassion, Quincie; we are truly blessed to have you on our team.

Quincie Novella and Victoria B. with Salus recently spent time with one of our most adored patients, Dr. Jacob Eisenbach. This 101 1/2-year-old (young) Holocaust survivor inspires many. Despite having his family torn apart at a young age, watching his brother be sent to Auschwitz, and facing the horrific conditions of a forced labor camp, he never gave up on humanity. He has a contagious smile, frequently speaks at college graduations, and is the famed author of 𝘞𝘩𝘦𝘳𝘦 𝘠𝘰𝘶 𝘎𝘰, 𝘐 𝘎𝘰: 𝘛𝘩𝘦 𝘈𝘴𝘵𝘰𝘯𝘪𝘴𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘓𝘪𝘧𝘦 𝘰𝘧 𝘋𝘳. 𝘑𝘢𝘤𝘰𝘣 𝘌𝘪𝘴𝘦𝘯𝘣𝘢𝘤𝘩, 𝘏𝘰𝘭𝘰𝘤𝘢𝘶𝘴𝘵 𝘚𝘶𝘳𝘷𝘪𝘷𝘰𝘳. His message of hope, love, and perseverance is especially relevant in a time when our country is divided and many are scared or uncertain. We are so fortunate that this incredible man is in our lives, trusts our care, and values the relationships he has built with the Salus team.
