March is Self-Harm Awareness month - a time to raise awareness about self-harm, promote education and prevention and support those struggling.

Self-harm is a growing concern among college students. The transition to college can be stressful and challenging, leading some students to self-harm to manage their emotions. It's important to note that self-harm is not a su***de attempt but can increase the risk of su***de if left untreated.

Signs that a student may be self-harming include unexplained injuries, cuts or bruises, wearing long sleeves or pants even in warm weather, and avoiding activities that require changing clothes in front of others. Seeking professional help is crucial, and colleges should provide resources and support for students struggling with self-harm.

Ketamine treatment has been shown to have several benefits for adults living with treatment-resistant depression.

It's important to note that ketamine treatment should only be used as part of a comprehensive treatment plan under the supervision of a healthcare professional.

If you or someone you know is interested in learning more about the benefits of ketamine therapy, contact our team today: https://bit.ly/3RfqsVJ

Timeline photos 02/14/2023

Ketamine is a medication that acts on the brain by increasing the levels of a glutamate neurotransmitter, a chemical that transmits signals between nerve cells in the brain.

When ketamine is administered, it rapidly increases the levels of glutamate in the brain, triggering various changes in the brain's neural networks. This includes activating a specific type of glutamate receptors called NMDA receptors, which play a crucial role in regulating the activity of brain cells.

This increased activity in the brain's neural networks is thought to be responsible for the rapid improvement in mood seen in people with treatment-resistant depression, post-traumatic stress disorder, and chronic pain.

Ketamine also seems to affect other neurotransmitters, such as dopamine, norepinephrine, and GABA, which may contribute to its therapeutic effect.

If you or someone you know could benefit from Ketamine Infusion Therapy, contact our team to learn more. https://bit.ly/3RfqsVJ
