Let’s be real—our bodies need a completely different approach at 40.
Back in my 20s, I thought weight loss meant eating as little as possible, spending hours on cardio, and saying no to anything fun.
But the truth? That didn’t really work then either—it just left me exhausted, frustrated, and stuck in the binge–restrict cycle.
And now at 40, it would backfire even more. As we get older, hormones shift and we start to lose muscle. So undereating and over-doing cardio not only stalls progress, they make it harder to maintain energy, strength, and a healthy metabolism long term.
These days, my approach looks completely different—and it actually works. I fuel my body, lift weights, and still enjoy the foods (and life) I love.
Your body needs fuel to build muscle, keep hormones balanced, and have the energy to live your life.
