Ok… some real talk.

I escaped abuse about 2.5 years ago. I abandon my home in San Diego on a whim and I moved across the country. Trust me, it was unexpected, even for me.

I spent the first year and a half doing all the things. And when I say all, I mean all, good, bad and otherwise…
Eating 🥣
Drinking🍹
Traveling 🧳
Resting 🛌
Crying😢
Laughing 😂
Learning 📚
Loving 🥰
Talking 🗣️
Writing ✍️
Reading 📖

Basically the exact opposite of what I was used to doing.

Fitness had consumed my life for the decade before. I was used to operating at a high level but when I left I wanted NOTHING to do with fitness. I had multiple surgeries and my body needed rest.

I gave myself grace, time and rest. And with that grace, time and rest came 35 lbs.

Last May (almost 10 months ago) I was ready. I was ready to move my body again.

I humbled myself, both physically and emotionally and I joined a gym. I started from scratch and I began plugging away, literally step by step. I committed myself to steps and gaining some strength back. Slowly I am getting there.

All this to say that my healing journey has not been linear, it’s been filled with bumps and bruises. And each one has given me yet another opportunity to be resilient.

Don’t let your bumps and bruises get the best of you.

Resilience is in you!

This is me, entering my PINK 🌸era.

It feels soft, silky, warm, cozy, fun, strong and loving to be in this space.

Black used to be “my color”. I have more black tank tops, pants and dresses than I could ever know what to do with. 🤣

Big muscles💪🏼, hard body and pushing through all the hard things was my jam.

But these days I am embracing my softer side. ☁️

Welcoming my feelings, accepting my gifts, and enjoying the balance I have created in my life.

Don’t be surprised when you see that softness in me. It’s where I am meant to be right now.

I see in my eyes genuine happiness, gratitude, and joy for the things that surround me.

In the up coming weeks I will be sharing a lot more about my story and my journey to get myself to this point.

My story has purpose and I will tell it honestly and unapologetically to those who would like to listen.

I will assign meaning to my past and in doing so I hope to inspire others to find their own strength.

For those of you who openly show your support, I thank you.

For those who privately send me messages, I hear you.

And for those who I know are watch and say nothing, I see you.

I will continue your use my voice for good.
