A Postural Assessments is the first step in a Sports Medicine consultation 🚴🏽‍♂️🏊‍♂️🏋️

Postural Assessments help identify defects or irregularities in the body, which lead to various musculoskeletal problems or injuries

They help assess the reasons behind various injuries and pain in the body

Postural alterations, can cause pain, injury, and limit athletic performance.

Once the postural alterations have been identified we are able to establish a treatment plan.

When the body is in balance it will enhance athletic performance, reduce the risk of injury, and reduce or eliminate pain.

Sports Medicine Acupuncture + Cupping Therapy + Electrical Stimulation 🚴 🏃🏽‍♀️ 🏊‍♂️
Sports Medicine or Orthopedic Acupuncture can be used for a number of things including:
🙌 Sports Recovery and Training
🙌Pain
🙌Injury Recovery
🙌Injury Prevention
🙌Anxiety and Sleep Disorders associated with trainings and competitions
🙌Enhance Athletic Performance

Acupuncture is an effective medicine for the treatment of sports injuries.
Acupuncture can be used preventively and for a faster recovery. For athletes this is particularly important to ensure more time is dedicated to training versus recovery.
Acupuncture improves the body's functions and promotes the natural self-healing process. Acupuncture increases circulation on the injury site, through micro circulation, speeding up recovery time.
Acupuncture relaxes tight muscles and tendons that may be overcompensating causing pain and creating an uneven pull decreasing performance. -

What is one thing you are grateful for?

Product Spotlight: Ceramides ❤️
Read your labels… products that contain ceramides are important to use after a session because they strengthen your skin’s barrier
Creating a healthy barrier will:

❤️Protect skin from environmental damage
❤️Locking in moisture to prevent dryness and irritation
❤️To name a few!

Did you know Microneedling can be used to treat your hands 🙌
Your hands can often show the first signs of aging and can even age faster than your face
Hands are frequently exposed to sun and are often neglected
Microneedling can help stimulate the production of collagen and elastin to help keep your hands pump and tight. This will help tighten loose skin and reduce the appearance of wrinkles
Microneedling can also help reduce sun spots
☀️Self care tip: Make sure to care for your hands as you care for your face. Use sunblock on your hands daily
☀️ I carry sunblock in my car and apply it to the back of my hands when I get in the car and reapply throughout the day ☀️

Do you incorporate Hyaluronic Acid into your skincare routine?
HA is one of my go to recommendations to use after a Microneedling treatment. It is even incorporated during your session to maximize its benefits!
Our body naturally produces HA, but as we age we begin to lose the HA that is produced in our epidermis. HA helps give our skin that youthful plump appearance. When our skin begins to lose HA our skin will appear dry and fine lines will be more pronounced.
HA binds to the water in our environment and helps keep your skin looking plump and hydrated.
It is important to note: because HA pulls water in it is important to apply your HA serum on damp skin and follow with a moisturizer!
Do you have a favorite HA product? Comment below 👇❣️
