Becky LaVonne completed dual Master’s and Doctorate degrees in Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine at Pacific College of Health and Science in 2021. This was 21 years after she started her healing career with a Reiki attunement that eventually led to the Master Teacher level in 2004. She earned an Associates of Science degree in Holistic Health from the International Professional School of Bodywork and has been in practice since 2006. Her specialization is in Chinese Medical Bodywork, also known as Acupressure or Tui Na. Becky’s hands on treatments may also include a combination of Deep Tissue Sculpting, Swedish Massage, Gua Sha, Moxibustion, Herbal Medicine as well as more obscure modalities like Sensory Repatterning, CranioSacral Therapy, Myofacial Release…she is always learning, therefore this list will keep growing. What remains the same is that your boundaries are always respected by her trauma informed, biopsychosocial approach. She offers long distance Herbal Medicine consultations, Reiki sessions and attunements to those who are ready. She believes in your amazing innate ability to heal and inspires radical self acceptance. Although her work can be deep, it dances on the edge of delicious discomfort because she knows that causing pain does not heal trauma. She listens to the evolving story of your health journey to deliver the tailored experience you need from each session. Her techniques can be modified for children, teens, pregnant people and elders. She especially loves to unravel menstrual cycle related issues. Approaching Health Holistically
Your overall function in life is to maintain homeostasis, which is defined by Merriam-Webster as "a relatively stable state of equilibrium or a tendency toward such a state between the different but interdependent elements or groups of elements of an organism, population, or group." The systems of our bodies do this without conscious thought, much like breathing. Maintaining a pain-free (preferably joyful!) state of being requires an interdependent way of perceiving the elements in your life:
º Physical Health
º Mental Health
º Emotional Health
º Spiritual Health
º Relational Health
When one or more aspects of your health is in a state of disharmony, this affects one or more, possibly even all of the other elements of health. Holistic approaches to health work most effectively and swiftly as preventive medicine. Acupuncture, massage and other researched integrative medical techniques can speed healing of acute injury and early onset of many diseases. Progressed states of disease require collaboration with your allopathic physician team for best results. Some situations will require an attending physician's consent.
