Race day is getting close and the excitement is building! We’re officially just weeks away from the 2026 GiGi’s 5K Donut Run 💙

🔥 At the top of the leaderboard, Team Mateo and Kelci’s Krew are holding strong in the top spots, amazing work leading the charge!

👏 Huge congratulations to all of our teams who have earned their yard signs and secured their names on the official 2026 t-shirt—your fundraising efforts are making a real impact, and we can’t wait to celebrate you along the course! We’re already 60% of the way to our goal!

When thinking about San Diego most do not think about all the hidden gems it holds. Ice Skating is one of those gems and San Diego is also home to the but also home to a few ice arenas.

One of our awesome blog spotlighted volunteers, Nadia, who is also a avid ice skater brought us an idea of hosting a "Family Ice Day". The hosted the event and invited families, free of charge an opportunity to get on the ice and as you can see while challenging was a hit.

GiGi's Playhouse is 98% volunteer led and these amazing volunteers often have awesome ideas of inclusion and new experiences for our participants! Thank you Nadia for this opportunity and we can't wait to partner again with the San Diego Ice Arena!

Kids Club is a signature GiGi's Playhouse program serving kiddo's 8-12. The program supports the development of social skills and language through peer to peer interaction in a casual and fun setting. It also supports gross motor skills through active games, as well as fine motor & self-help skills.

Supporting the GiGi's 5K San Diego Donut Run supports us being able to offer programs such as Kids Clubs for FREE to individuals and families with Down syndrome.

The Playhouse is hopping in to April with lots of joy going into this Spring season💐🐇
Be sure to check out all the awesome and free programs we have going on this week as well as an extra special event ...🥳🎉our 8th Anniversary!!

Please join us in celebrating this Saturday between 10:00am and 2:00pm, we will be having our normally scheduled programs along with some sweet treats, a photo wall op, and an opportunity to register for the Donut Run 🍩🏃‍♀️ which is coming up Sunday April 19th.

The hunt was on for everything egg during Fantastic Friends North County.

Participants worked together to find easter eggs that has fun questions and activities inside, then we got to see individual personalities come out when dying real eggs. There was some awesome colorful creativity going on!

Then of course it wouldn't be a wrap up of Fantastic Friends without a karaoke jam session!

If you are in the North County and would like to join Fantastic Friends North County Edition, we generally meet the 4th Friday @ 6:00pm. Please check out our calendar for details.
