You don’t have to trap yourself in the swirl of anxious thoughts.

Try this simple, 5-step process the next time worry shows up:

☑️ Pause and take three slow breaths. Let your body settle.
☑️ Notice the thought without arguing with it. Name it briefly, for example “worry about work.”
☑️ Check your body. Where do you feel tension? Breathe into that place.
☑️ Remind yourself it is a thought, not a fact. Say quietly, “This is worry.”
☑️ Choose one small, grounding action — write one sentence, step outside, or do a short walk.

Doing this regularly creates a little space between you and the worry. Over time that space helps you respond with intention instead of reacting from fear.

At Freedom Within, learning never stops because healing deserves our best. 💙

We recently engaged in a Trauma Informed Guilt Reduction Therapy (TrIGR) training with Dr. Carolyn Allard gaining new tools to better support clients carrying guilt and shame, whether from trauma or other life experiences.

This training deepened our commitment to creating spaces where compassion meets evidence-based care; helping clients release what no longer serves them and move toward healing, allowing for freedom and self-acceptance. 🌿

Our team continues to invest in training and therapy modalities that can best serve our clients. We want to make sure we have the skills and tools to support whatever experiences you may be having.

Scrolling endlessly and feeling drained?
Social media’s constant presence can slowly erode your well-being.
Burnout often starts small: comparing yourself, endlessly checking notifications, feeling like you're always on. These habits feel normal, but over time, they fuel anxiety, fatigue, and disconnection.

Here are simple ways to bring balance back:
☑️ Limit daily screen time or set “no-phone” hours
☑️ Curate your feed: unfollow what drains, follow what uplifts
☑️ Replace scrolling with meaningful activities (walks, journaling, time with people)
☑️ Practice mindfulness: pause before you tap, notice what you feel
☑️ Use “digital detox” breaks to reset what matters most

These are choices that help you reclaim calm, clarity, and a healthier relationship with social media. I heard from someone once “use social media, but don’t let social media be used on you.” Just reiterating that there are some great functions of social media but don’t let it suck you into a mindless, unpresent existence.

Recently, our leadership team came together for a meaningful Leadership Training facilitated by the amazing Jennifer Santoso 🌿

Our Director, Site Supervisors, Clinical Director, Practice Manager, and Clinical Supervisor all joined in; taking time to reconnect, reflect, and revisit why we do what we do.

It was such a valuable experience. Learning, sharing, and growing together as leaders so we can continue to show up with authenticity and compassion for our staff, clients, and the community we serve. 💛
