3 Ways Spiritual Blockages May Appear In The Body

The physical and spiritual body are one in the same. The connection within is clear, and when we note disharmony in part of us, there is disharmony elsewhere.

Here are just 3 of the ways that spiritual blockages may affect the physical body:

1) Digestive Disorders

2) Hormone Balance

3) Anxiety and Sleep Disorders

We cannot truly heal one part of ourselves without addressing all connected parts.

Have you considered the connection between physical and spiritual health?

Spring arrives on March 20th, and with it comes one of the most potent invitations of the year: to begin again.
In Chinese medicine, spring is governed by the Liver and the Wood element — a season of upward movement, creative force, and the drive to grow toward the light. Just as seeds push through the soil after months of dormancy, this is the time when our own potential energy transforms into action. Spring is when we ground ourselves deeply enough to expand — and begin turning our dreams into lived reality.
But to fully receive what this season has to offer, we must first tend to the organ at its center.
The Liver: Home of Your Spirit's Vision
In Chinese medicine, the Liver is far more than a detox organ. It houses what is called the Hún — the ethereal soul, the yang aspect of our consciousness. This is the part of you that dreams, creates, intuits, plans, and navigates your life's purpose. It is the seat of your vision — both inner and outer. And when we nourish it, something profound becomes possible: that active, expansive energy of consciousness becomes anchored in the body. The Liver acts as a bridge between the ethereal and the physical — between what we can imagine and what we can actually create. A well-nourished Liver gives our visions roots, drawing inspired energy down into the earth of our being where it can take form, gain direction, and manifest as something real and tangible in our lives. Without this grounding, our dreams remain just that — beautiful ideas drifting without a place to land.
When your Liver energy is nourished and in harmony, you feel it: mental clarity flows, creativity sparks, emotions move freely, and your intuition becomes a trusted compass. You feel grounded, purposeful, and in motion. When it is stagnant or depleted, the opposite emerges — irritability, frustration, a sense of being stuck.

Embracing the Sacred Threshold: The Autumn Equinox Journey 🍁As the golden threads of summer begin to weave into the rich tapestry of autumn, we stand at a sacred threshold. The leaves whisper ancient secrets as they transform-each changing hue a divine messenger signaling the great turning within and without. Nature calls us inward towards the contemplative mysteries of our inner landscape. The wisdom of Chinese medicine, autumn carries the essence of metal elemant associated with the lungs and large intestine. This is a time of reflection for transformation and refinement, integration and organization and deepening our sacred boundaries that emerge from this refinement. The energy of autumn inspires us to participate in the sacred art of receiving and releasing, with each breath welcoming in new, with each exhale surrendering what no longer resonates. The lungs hold the emotional frequencies of grief and sadness, as a profound teacher alchemizing the hidden shadows that we have been avoiding. Perhaps the greatest grief within humanity is the great disconnect from our true nature and grounded alignment of source life force. Set your intentions and practice listening and discovering the hidden truths where your power is leaking. Honor your wholeness by taking the time to feel what is in resonance so you can be intentional this season. 🤍🤍 🍁

Did you know symptoms of anxiety, depression, chronic fatigue, lack of focus and clarity and other cognitive disorders are often a result of an unhealthy gut and microbiome? 🧠 Healing your gut is a spiritual practice—an of reclaiming your divine birthright to health, and connection with your true nature. That persistent flutter in your chest, that knot in your stomach, or the active chattering of your mind blocking out your clear consciousness - what if these aren't signs that something's wrong with you, but signals that something's disconnecting you from your deepest truth?
Your grounded presence in a continuous energetic loop, maintaining your relationship to yourself, is your power and the most important foundation necessary to be in your purpose. When this foundation is compromised, it will often manifest as anxiety.
Perhaps the feeling of anxiety is alerting you that it's time to fortify your sacred boundaries, redirect your focus, and deepen your connection with yourself. Maybe there's an energy in the room that's at a lower resonance directed toward you, and your system is calling you to raise your frequency and bring your focus back to your source self. What if that anxious feeling is actually your inner wisdom recognizing when you're in environments or relationships that don't match your energetic frequency?
Learn to train your intuition to guide you when the feeling of anxiety takes over your nervous system. Your inner guiding system will bring you back to wholeness just have to connect!

In Chinese Medicine the energy of the moon has the potential to nourish the yin, through ancient breath work exercises (Qi Gong). Yin energy is nourished when our nervous system is in a state of parasympathetic and can help us experience deeper sleep, heightened intuition, and gain greater internal balance. It empowers us to receive the abundance that surrounds us and cultivate strength within ourselves. As we approach the full strawberry moon in Sagittarius on June 11th, I’d like to share a 5 minute Qi Gong practice to harness yin energy from the moon. 1. Find a quiet space outside where you can see the full moon. 2. Face towards the moon standing with your feet shoulder width apart, reaching your arms up facing your palms towards the moon. 3. Close your eyes and put the tip of your tongue on the roof of your mouth gently to activate your micro-orbit. 4. Imagine receiving the moon energy entering the palms of your hands and your third eye region settling into your heart and lower abdomen as you take deep breaths into your lower abdomen. 5. Open your eyes slowly feeling the appreciation for the healing energy you received from the moon and observe the beauty and the magnificence of the moon. Give the moon a little smile and take its yin nourishing energy with you into the rest of your night. I hope you find this practice to be helpful and nourishing. Make any changes guided by your intention that feel appropriate during the exercise.

Where science meets wisdom: The river within 🌊 Modern science confirms what Chinese medicine has known for millennia-our blood 🩸 carries more than just oxygen and nutrients. It’s the physical manifestation of our life force energy (Qi). When we experience emotions, they’re not just in our minds-they flow through our bloodstream, affecting every cell. That tension in your shoulders? The heaviness in your chest? These aren’t separate from your circulation-they’re intimately connected. This is why true circulatory health requires both:
✨physical practices (movement, hydration, nutrition) ✨ Emotional practices (breath work, meditation, somatic movement). The ancient sages didn’t separate body and spirit. Maybe it’s time modern wellness didn’t either. What practice nourishes both your blood and spirit today?
