Ok back to basics! WATER!!! You should try to drink between half an ounce and an ounce of water for each pound you weigh, every day. So if you are 150lbs 75-150oz. Not getting enough water can also affect your mood. Dehydration may result in fatigue and confusion as well as anxiety. So set a goal that this week you will start building your foundation with staying hydrated!

2022 is officially 1 week in! We have been living in a world that will keep on taking. This year don’t beat yourself up creating overwhelming, unrealistic coping strategies or goals. Go back to the basics to be the healthiest you!
Ask yourself simple things. Did you eat anything today? Are you drinking water and staying hydrated? When was the last time I took a bathroom break? How many hours of sleep are you getting? These are the basic tenants of a physical and mental healthy life. You can’t build additional coping strategies without these basics! Give yourself permission to slow down and create a stronger you!

Factual Friday
Did you know...when you take deep breaths, your heart rate slightly beats faster. When you exhale, your heart rate slows. Repeated deep breathes naturally bring your heart rate more in sync with your breath. When this happens your brain releases endorphins (feel good hormones) that create a calming effect. So, when you are stuck in shallow breathing you are more likely to experience panic, anxiety, and concentration issues.

Wellness Wednesday

“If you make your bed every morning, you will have accomplished the first task of the day. It will give you a small sense of pride, and it will encourage you to do another task and another and another.”- Admiral McRaven

Thankful Tuesday’s

When you're grateful for the things in your life, the smallest things like using your favorite coffee cup in the morning, it boosts your self-esteem. Higher self esteem creates confidence, which decreases your tendencies of comparing yourself to others (feeling of not good enough). Being grateful is contagious and reduces stress, anxiety, depression, hypertension and cardiovascular disease.
What are you thankful for today?
