EMDR Services for Active‑Duty Service Members and Veterans

What is EMDR?
Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) is an evidence‑based therapy recognized by the VA and Department of Defense as an effective treatment for trauma and PTSD. EMDR helps individuals process distressing experiences without needing to recount them in detail, making it an accessible and effective option for military members and veterans coping with trauma, anxiety or chronic stress.

Active‑Duty and Veteran Intensive Outpatient Program: The Manual for Your Life

Most of us enter the world without an instruction manual for our own minds. When life becomes overwhelming—or when we experience trauma—our internal systems can start to feel out of sync.

Trauma can act like corrupted software running in the background, slowing things down and causing overreactions to everyday stressors. You might feel “overheated” with anxiety or panic, “shut down” with numbness or depression, or like your internal emergency brake isn’t working.

At the Thousand Branches Wellness facility in Mission Valley, our 12‑week Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) offers the guidance many never received. We approach recovery like a system update—going beyond talking about what happened to address what’s happening in the nervous system. By helping clear out outdated patterns and restore balance, we support you in regaining a sense of control and stability.

You don’t have to keep surviving the glitches. Let us help you begin your update. Reach out today: https://thousandbrancheswellness.com/locations/mission-valley/.

Your Path to Resilience 🌿

Our Adult Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) meets Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. and is designed for those seeking deeper healing beyond traditional talk therapy. We take a whole‑person approach that integrates both mind and body to help you move from simply getting by to truly thriving.

Our program blends evidence‑based practices, including CBT for mindset, DBT for emotional balance, somatic techniques to support nervous system health and ACT to help you reconnect with purpose and values.

We don’t just treat symptoms—we support the whole person. Growth happens branch by branch, and we’re here to help you start today.
