Empowered Women Speak I focus on women's emotional and social wellbeing. I talk about everyday issues and I talk about issues that no one else wants to talk about.

I serve as a Commissioner on the Behavioral Health Board for San Diego County. I also represents the BHB on the Children, Youth, and Family System of Care Council, San Diego. I host a weekly radio show every Wednesday at noon PST on Thrivecast Network and iTunes podcasts. My show, Empowered Women Speak, focuses on the social emotional health and well being of women, children, youth, and families.

I have a passion for women’s mental health and emotional wellbeing. Having survived childhood abuse, an illness that turned my world upside down, sexual assault, and an abusive ex-husband I enjoy sharing my story with the community in hopes of breaking the silence. Tragedy doesn’t mean you have to give up in life and I continue to prove this by empowerment through circumstances. My ambition is to both speak, and write a book on my journey, and how I uses the past to thrive in my future. Especially the issue of postpartum psychosis one that is highly overlooked in our health care system.
