Christy A. George, LMFT, Counseling and Consulting

Christy A. George, LMFT, Counseling and Consulting I also help parents to connect with their kids. Are there things from your past haunting you? Trouble connecting with others? I understand, and I can help.

I can help you reduce anxiety, manage stress, improve relationships and feel happier by teaching mindfulness, ways to regulate your nervous system, improve communication and feel connected with others. Do you have depression and anxiety that won't go away no matter what you do? Suffering from nightmares, chronic pain, or over eating? I will meet you where you are, psychologically speaking, without

judgment. Using a combination of holistic and traditional therapy, I focus on my client's strengths and innate ability to heal and succeed. Mindfulness, sensory and body awareness, play, art and conversation are a few tools used to treat issues like anger, anxiety, depression, stress and relationship problems. My techniques are tailored to your preferences and needs. My office is a safe place to share emotions, grow, connect and improve relationships and your overall experience of life. You have a great opportunity to get your life back, feel whole, understood, grounded, and most like yourself. I work with adults, children, teens and families. Call me. I can help you feel better. Let me help you enjoy the life you have. We all deserve a chance to flourish, not just exist. Your time is now. Reach out, I'm here for you.

This quote speaks to me in a deep and profound way, and something I truly believe in working with gifted children and adults. If we better understand the need a person's behavior is trying to express we can better help to meet that need, and big, positive changes can happen for that person. For example, is the child distracted because they're bored? Are they crying because they have a heighten sense of awareness? Are they more reactive than their peers because their brain and nervous system are at a different stage of development and they're doing the best they can? Or something else... knowing the why that goes with the what can help us to work with children from a greater place of compassion, with the child's strengths and to be more effective with that child.
