Ten Times Better My purpose: To edify, encourage, and support the people of God towards wholeness of spirit, mind and body.

Many of us are suffering from the wrong mindset and preventable diseases like high blood pressure, diabetes, and obesity.

Most people are trying to fix what they see in the mirror… but what if the real work starts with what they don’t see?

Friend, here’s something I’ve learned walking with God and coaching women: Your body is not the problem. Your beliefs are.

You can meal prep, follow the best workout plan, and track every step… but if deep down you still believe you’re not worthy of being well, strong, or whole, your transformation will always feel incomplete.

We’ve been trained to chase “before and after” photos, but God is after a renewed mind—a woman who sees herself the way He does.

That’s why at Coach LaMonte, we don’t just help women get stronger in their bodies—we help them align their health journey with Kingdom truth. Because discipline without direction is just another form of bo***ge.

Your body will follow where your beliefs go. Let’s start there.

A new year, a new start
New Year’s Day - Monday January 1

“[You] too may live a new life.” Ro 6:4 NIV
Refuse to let your past rob you of your future. This year God wants to give you a new start. Let’s face it, we all have relationships that can’t be healed, and issues that will never be resolved to our liking. But by God’s grace we can forgive, forget, and move on. You don’t have to lie awake at night digging up old bones, picking at scars, and reviving painful memories. If you give them an opening, the ghosts of your past will take up residence in your head. You say, “But I still struggle in so many areas.” We all do. Even the great apostle Paul admitted he didn’t have it all together. Unlike those who condemn in others the very things they struggle with themselves, Paul admits: “I know the law but…can’t keep it…sin…keeps sabotaging my best intentions, I…need help!…I decide to do good, but…My decisions…don’t result in actions. Something…gets the better of me every time” (Ro 7:17-20 MSG). “Thank you, Paul,” from all of us who mistakenly thought that once we became Christians there would be no more struggles! But Paul doesn’t stop there; he adds these two important Scriptures: (1) “Just as Christ was raised from the dead…we too may live a new life” (Ro 6:4 NIV). (2) “In the same way [as Christ], count yourselves dead to sin but alive to God in Christ Jesus” (v. 11 NIV). You ask, “How then should I handle my old issues?” Admit them, quit them, and forget them! Instead of fighting battles you can’t win, let Christ’s resurrection power sweep through your life and sever the ties between you and the pain of your past. re a “gift” from God. Treasure and enjoy them.

The right attitude

“For as he thinks in his heart, so is he.” Pr 23:7 NKJV
What separates the best from the rest? Have you ever given that some thought? What separates a gold medalist from a silver medalist in the Olympics? What separates a successful entrepreneur from someone who doesn’t make it? What makes it possible for one person to flourish after a debilitating accident while someone else gives up and dies? It’s attitude! The Bible says, “For as he thinks in his heart, so is he.” Your attitude can be your greatest asset or your greatest liability. It makes you or breaks you. It lifts you up or drags you down. The right attitude may not let you do everything, but it will help you to do anything better than you would when your attitude is wrong. The happiest people in life don’t undoubtedly have the best of everything; they simply try to make the best of everything. They’re like a person in a remote village who daily goes to the well for water and says, “Every time I come to this well, I come away with my bucket full,” instead of saying, “I can’t believe I have to keep coming back to this well every day to fill up my bucket!” Your attitude has a profound influence on your approach to life. Ask a surgeon if a patient’s attitude matters when he or she is trying to save that person’s life in an emergency room. Ask a teacher if a student’s attitude has an impact before they take a test. Jesus said, “According to your faith be it unto you” (Mt 9:29). Like a magnet, faith draws on the strength which God offers.

Work on your character
Friday June 16

“The righteous man walks in his integrity.” Pr 20:7 NKJV
When the Bible speaks of integrity, it means having a good character. And good character sets boundaries. It may not always determine what you will do, but it always determines what you won’t do. Character lets you realize how much you’re willing to pay to get what you want. When someone in a relationship has no character, they’re dangerous. The writer of Proverbs says, “The righteous man walks in his integrity; his children are blessed after him.” Character doesn’t have to be in the spotlight, excessively running the show. And it doesn’t resort to intimidation or shaming to get its own way. The person who thinks he or she can get what they want by lying, cheating, or manipulating is sadly mistaken. Understand this: No matter where you go, the real you will eventually show up! And if you don’t work on your character, you won’t be able to build healthy relationships. Genuine relationships require integrity; someone who shows consistent character in all circumstances; someone who plays by the rules and can be relied upon; someone who offers credit where credit is due; someone who lives by faith; someone who trusts God to enable them to accomplish all that he or she was created and called to do. The Bible tells us the wicked may prosper for a season, but they will not endure. And ultimately, they will most certainly not triumph (See Pr 11:21). The psalmist says, “The integrity of the upright will guide them, but the perversity of the unfaithful will destroy them” (Pr 11:3 NKJV). So, the word for you today is—work on your character.

“All the days of my life.” Ps 23:6 NKJV
Most insurance companies are trustworthy. They will cover you through most of the seasons and adversities of life. But not all insurance companies are that way. In some cases, the moment you make a claim against them, they either hike your premiums through the roof or cancel your policy. But the insurance policy you have with God is awesome. The premiums were paid in the crimson cash of Jesus’ blood when He spoke these words: “It is finished,” which means “paid in full.” There are different kinds of insurance that cover things like fire, property, theft, health, automobiles, and death. But the only insurance policy that can cover you beyond death is the one God offers. And you don’t have to worry about reading the “fine print,” because He will not cancel it. Paul lays it out for us: “Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?…in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us. For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord” (Ro 8:35, 37-39 NKJV). Have you repented of your sins? Have you placed your trust in Christ to be your Savior? Then you’re covered for time and eternity. “Through many dangers, toils, and snares, I have already come; ’tis grace hath brought me safe thus far, and grace will lead me home.”

🥑Have you ever cooked with AVOCADO OIL before?

It’s fairly new on grocery shelves, and it’s a great option if you’re cooking at high heat.

➡️Not only does it have a high smoke point, but it also has some potential benefits for your health.

It’s about 70% oleic acid, which can help balance your cholesterol and keep your blood pressure healthy.

It’s also a great source of antioxidants like lutein ... which helps protect your eyes.

One often overlooked benefit of including healthy fats in your diet: they can help your body absorb nutrients from other foods.

😲Just one example: eating avocado oil with vegetables (like carrots) increases the absorption of the carrot’s nutrients by as much as 17 times!

Avocado oil also has anti-inflammatory properties, which can help your immune system, fight free radicals in the body, and may help reduce pain.

💡It’s easy to add avocado oil to your diet … Simply swap it out for other oils you would use for cooking or salad dressings.

Are you doing it for the right reasons?

“He had this testimony, that he pleased God.” Heb 11:5 NKJV
When you grow up with rejection, it can manifest itself in a need to isolate and withdraw or in a drive to constantly “prove yourself.” One man said it like this: “I can still hear my father yelling, telling me I’d never be any good, never amount to anything. The more he yelled, the more determined I became to prove him wrong.”

Are the wrong voices speaking to you? If they are—read on! The Bible says Enoch “had this testimony, that he pleased God.” How? “By faith” (v. 5 NKJV).

God sees you differently than your parents or peers do. Their acceptance is often based on your performance, whereas God’s acceptance is based on your position. Paul writes, “God made him who had no sin to be sin for us…that in him we might become the righteousness of God” (2Co 5:21 NIV).

God sees us wrapped in the righteousness of Christ; therefore, we’re always acceptable. That doesn’t mean you don’t work hard; it means working for the right reasons. Instead of striving for God’s approval, you serve Him out of gratitude.

Once you know that your identity and worth aren’t tied to the car you drive, the home you live in, how much you earn, or the people you mix with, it changes your motivation. Instead of being concerned about the neighborhood you live in, you become concerned about your neighbors. Instead of focusing on how much money you make, your focus becomes financing God’s kingdom. Instead of worrying about your job title, your goal becomes performing with excellence and integrity. In other words, instead of just working hard, you’re doing it for the right reasons

📚📖 Right now, I’m reading Turn On Your Brain... because it’s about your thought life

And you know what?

“I’m glad John recommended it.” “It delivered.” “It clearly reveals how the power of thoughts take up real estate in Your Mind and it provides scriptures!!

👉 My biggest lesson from the book so far is 75-98% of mental, physical, and behavioral illness comes from ones thought life.

We take, facts, experiences and the events of life and assign meaning to them with our thinking.

You must hear from God for yourself
“What does my Lord say to His servant?” Jos 5:14 NKJV
In the New Testament, God emphasized different things to each of the seven churches in Revelation. Why? Because they each had a different assignment and faced different challenges. It’s wise to read good books and listen to good mentors and teachers, but don’t assume that what God told them is what He is telling you. There are times when you need to hear from Him for yourself. You may adopt certain principles, but you must get your plan from God. That’s why it’s sometimes hard for God to get through to preachers. When He speaks to them personally, they give it an introduction, three points, and a conclusion—and preach it to others! And as a spiritual leader, there is another potential pitfall: trying to get “a word” for others because they happen to be bothering you. Let God straighten them out and get back to where you belong! Paul wrote, “We will boast only about what has happened within the boundaries of the work God has given us” (2Co 10:13 NLT). Your authority and anointing depend on being where God wants you to be, doing what He wants you to do. When you’re driven by ego, or other people’s expectations, or a goal God gave to someone else, you’re setting yourself up to fail. You must hear from God for yourself. If you’re assigned—you’re confined! You can’t go where you like and do as you please, so ask God to crown your efforts with success. If you’re in the wrong place, doing the wrong thing, don’t let pride keep you there. Pray, “What does my Lord say to His servant?” Then, do it!

This morning workout will boost your immune system!!!

I’ve got a good one for you today! Right in this email are a couple of mini-exercises that you can do first thing in the morning to help wake you up – and give your body an energy boost.

They’ll get your blood pumping and help rev up an important part of your immune system that usually doesn’t get much thought or attention: your lymphatic system!

Quick background: Lymph fluid flows through a huge network of vessels in your body, collecting and removing cell waste – sort of like how blood circulates.

One big difference, though: your circulatory system has a pump – your heart.

Your lymphatic system relies on MOVEMENT and your MUSCLES to help keep the lymph flowing.

You can imagine how removing all that cell waste is important to your health!

One of the BEST exercises you can do for your lymphatic system is rebounding – (jumping on a mini-trampoline) for a few minutes a day.

But if you don’t have a mini-trampoline (not many do!), you can get your system flowing in other ways. Here are a couple of easy exercises to try first thing in the morning.

Arm Pumps: You can even do this one while you’re still in bed!

Lie on your back, your arms straight by your sides.

Keeping your arms straight, raise your arms until your hands are about 6 inches above the bed (or floor).

Now, quickly move your arms up and down by your sides, intensely enough so that you feel your breathing start to speed up. Try to get 50-100 “pumps.”

Jumping Jacks: These are great and work your whole body at once – do this one before you hit the shower vs. just waking up. Start with 10 and work up to 25 or more.

If they’re too high impact, try the low-impact version: raise your arms out to the side as you step your left foot out, return to the start, and repeat on the right, swapping sides.

→ Seems simple, but moving your body like this in the morning can make a HUGE difference! Plus- it’ll give you a little energy boost to kickstart your day.

And if you want some extra credit … here are a few ways to boost your lymphatic system over the long term:

● Stay hydrated
● Do strength training
● Get regular massages (one of my favorites, haha!)
