Did you know the meditation isn’t to quite your mind? Yes, you read that correctly!
Meditation is to allow your thoughts to flood into you so you can learn to see them for what they are and not the story created from the past or the future.
Our head brain loves interaction. It thrives to create and solve problems whether they exist or not. This is good, we need this but not as the director of our movie.
If you feel inspired to give it a go one more time try this:
Close your eyes, roll your eyeballs up focusing between your eyebrows. Inhale through your nose for one second pushing your belly outward. Then exhale through the nose for 2 seconds pulling the belly inward toward your spine. Continue for 1-3 minutes. Lying down or sitting comfortably. As your mind fills, allow these chatters to pass by like a scene in a movie and focus on your breathing and your heartbeat. Keep going back to the beating of your heart and feel your internal rhythm…allow your head brain to feel this beat while disengaging from your movie reel.
