Since 1991, Rising Stars of Equestrian Therapy has provided therapeutic and recreational horseback riding lessons to physically and mentally challenged children and adults. Horseback riding is a multidisciplinary approach to neurodevelopment therapy and physical rehabilitation that produces specific benefits and provides overall conditioning of the rider.

There is no Rising Stars Open House today. There is a Horse Show at Sycamore Canyon Equestrian Center today.

Ric and I are at the Special Olympics in Perris, California today. We are at Big Dream League. We are honored to host a booth to promote our Rising Stars of Equestrian Therapy program. Butterscotch is with us and she had new batteries to entertain the people. We praise God for the coaches and families who are participating in the games. Good luck.

A huge "shout out" to Dianna Voss and Jordan for hosting a booth at the Boy Scout Jamboree in Glenhelen last Saturday. Dianna shared ways scouts can earn badges and suggested ideas for Eagle Scouts to make. They had a great time!
The Rising Stars Open House events are October 4, 18, 22. November 1, 8, 22. Join us from 9 to 10:30.
We encourage you to attend 2 events in downtown San Dimas this month. The Beer and Wine Walk will be this Saturday evening. Ric and Ruth Morris will host a booth. Stop by and say, "Howdy!" We will not be serving beer or wine.

To celebrate a safe Halloween, dress in your costume and visit the merchants downtown. Check the flyers for details. Have a great month with many opportunities. Join us as often as you can.

Ric and I hosted a booth at the San Dimas Health and Wellness fair this morning to promote our Rising Stars of Equestrian Therapy program. We made great connections for new clients, volunteers, and speaking engagements. We had a miracle to set up at 5:45 a.m. There was a 5K run, walk, and toddler event. Great event.

Thank you to the people who bought tickets to the Silver Fox Follies. Thanks to the clients and volunteers who performed in the show!!! The production was a huge success!

There will be no Rising Stars Open House tomorrow, Saturday, September 27. We will have a booth at the San Dimas Health and Wellness fair from 7 to 10:30. Dianna will be at a Boy Scout Jamboree in Glenhelen to promote what Rising Stars can do for scouts and what Eagle Scouts can do for us.

The October Open House events will be on Saturdays 4, 18, and 25 from 9 to 10:30. Please join us.

The next Rising Stars Open House events will be October 4, 18, 25. There is a Horse Show the 11th.

Last Sunday we hosted a birthday party for 10 children. They rode Chuck, fed carrots and apples to our horses, played games, and ate their treats. They had a wonderful time. Consider scheduling your birthday party with us.

Purchase your tickets for the Silver Fox Follies on September 21st at 1 p.m. at the Bonita Center for the Arts in San Dimas. You will be richly entertained with singing, dancing, and a Magic Act.

Ric Morris, CEO of Rising Stars, will offer 4 original oil paintings for a silent auction. We can take credit cards or Zelle for this purchase. There will be raffle prizes and a 50/50 raffle. We will have snacks available. You can purchase bundles of flowers for your family and friends who are performing in the show. Bring your dollars. Please bring a car load of people. The Rising Stars Open House will be open Saturday, September 13 from 9 to 10:30. Remember to park in the 4th entrance where you see 3 arenas. Then walk along the horse trail to the third entrance. Register at the picnic table. Chuck and Phoenix will be waiting for you.

Yippee. The Rising Stars Open House will start at 9:00 and go until 10:30, Saturday, August 6. We will be open Saturday, August 13, October 4, 11, and 25. We have a weight limit of 150 pounds on Phoenix and 80 pounds on Chuck.

We had a great Open House last Saturday. We had many new riders. Smiles were shared by everyone.

Please order your Silver Fox Follies tickets early to reserve your seats. Invite your family and friends to attend to support our Rising Stars program. We will have a Magic Show as a small part of the performance. You will see our clients and volunteers perform! We welcome Straight Up Abilities from Los Angeles who dance and steal the show. Join us for a fun afternoon!!!

Straight from the Horse's Mouth
The Latest News from Rising Stars of Equestrian Therapy

Howdy, friends! I'm Chuck. I am a horse -- and a therapist! -- and I love to ride gently around the arena with kids and adults here in San Dimas. If you come to visit, bring carrots. Oh, and apples are good, too.

Now, things are a bit crazy around these parts lately because Ruth and Ric and all the other humans have been working on this year's Silver Fox Follies! I didn't know what that meant, I've never even seen a silver fox. But then I heard them describing a big show on September 21st at the Bonita Center for the Arts at 822 W. Covina Blvd in San Dimas (map). That's why I'm not getting brushed as often, and they're so distracted with so many plans.

A show without horses doesn't sound like much fun to me, just a bunch of humans dancing and singing. But they do it every year and raise funds for my stable, and my feed, and my hay, and my tack, and my vet services, and more hay for me, and scholarships for the kids, and money for future programs, and lots and lots of delicious hay ... so HEY! Maybe you should buy a ticket! You'll get to see some of the kids and adults in our program on stage too, and I can tell you from personal experience they're a real good bunch. Call Bonita Theater Box Office at 909-971-8280 to order tickets, and tell them Chuck sent you.

I'll check in with you again soon, after they're done horsing around with the Follies and I can get the attention I deserve.

The Rising Stars will have their Saturday Open House from 9 to 10:30, August 30th. Our next Open House events will be September 6 and 13. Then October 4, 18, and 25.

The Silver Fox Follies will be September 21st at the Bonita Center for the Arts 822 W. Covina Blvd in San Dimas. There are 2 shows at 1 and 5. Purchase your tickets now at the early bird prices of $25 and $30. The tickets will be $30 and $35 at the door. Our clients and volunteers will be singing and dancing. There are 65 performers in the Follies ages 8 to 92. You can sing along with the songs you know. There's even a Magic Show!! Please share the Silver Fox Follies with everyone you know. It's our biggest fund raiser for the Rising Stars program.
