Psychotherapy for people who want to reflect and manage life's challenges in San Francisco, California. Being stuck on negative thoughts? Are we a good match?
Our Story
Psychotherapy (counseling) is for people who want to live life to the fullest by self-reflection. We can all lead a mindful and purposeful lifestyle and manage life's challenges such as anxiety and depressive mood if we have the right tools. I can help you manage your situation even though your negative thoughts are still there. You can still achieve your goals even though your challeng
ing feelings are there. Although I was professionally trained in Western psychotherapy, my specialty is to incorporate mindfulness and Eastern modalities (Morita and Naikan) to modify our mindset to achieve our goals and dreams. I will help you conceptualize what mindfulness life would look like for you. Join this journey of self-reflection with me to open up new possibilities in yourself. My office is located in the Pacific Heights area of San Francisco, California. Visit https://www.ReflectwithMe.com for more information. Call 20-minute FREE consultation to find out! 415.823.0022. One of the winter solstice events is taking Yuzu citrus baths. The citrus’s scent and oil help us relax and retain warmth. I love everything about Yuzu, and I went above and beyond to get anything Yuzu when I was in Kochi, a famous place that grows It.

I am humbled to continue having an opportunity to be on the board of the TōDō Institute. TōDō Institute's alternative approach to mental wellness, informed by Japanese Psychology, goes far beyond symptom reduction. It teaches resilience and takes the mystique out of coping with life. TōDō Institute's programs translate the wisdom of Japanese Psychology into lifelong practices that nourish our spirit, strengthen our relationships, and deepen our connections with the world. Below is a link to learn more about TōDō Institute and its programs.

I had the pleasure of attending and presenting at the 41st Japanese Society of Morita Therapy, this time in Kochi, where Dr. Masatake Morita was born and raised. This conference also happened in the year of a celebration of his 150th birthday! While this year's preparation for the conference was challenging due to time constraints with work, commitments, and other obligations, exchanging information and ideas with other Morita practitioners and specialists at the conference was such a rewarding experience. Not only that, I had an opportunity to join a memorable excursion to visit Dr. Morita's birthplace and his resting place, led by a private tour guide from a volunteer for the preservation committee of Dr. Morita's birthplace. If anyone is interested, please join this effort to preserve this historic site. * Dr. Morita's birthplace is a nationally registered tangible cultural property. However, it needs extensive repair efforts since it is over 150 years old. Please contact them for more details: morita-hozon@mx7.tiki.ne jp.

Happy National Pets Day!
Well, we never considered our own Mr. Kitty as our “pet” but as an essential family member. I’m sure many animal lovers would agree! Our animal friends give us so much love and joy. I wish them all a long and healthy life!!
In this International Women’s Day, I’d like to commemorate the second eldest daughter of Dr. Tomi Kora, an acclaimed author, researcher, and poet, Ms.Rumiko Kora. I had the pleasure of meeting her daughter, Ms. Mihoko Takeuchi, an accomplished artist, who shared her mother’s life-long accomplishments with me at “Rumiko Kora Shiryosh*tsu”
Ms. Rumiko Kora, born in Tokyo in 1932, was the second daughter of Dr. Takehisa Kora and Dr. Tomi Kora. Ms. Rumiko Kora’s poetry, a unique blend of introspection and societal critique, earned her the Mr. H Award (1963) and the 6th Contemporary Poet Award (1988) for her collection, “Masked Voices.” She continued to captivate readers with her collection” Kaze no Yoru,”which won the Yutaka Maruyama Memorial Contemporary Poetry Award in 2000. Beyond poetry, she was a prolific critic, publishing 6 volumes of “The Thoughtful World of Rumiko Kora,”and co-editing “Modernity as Seen by Women'' with Ms. Teruyo Iwami. Ms. Kora also edited the works of her parents.
Ms. Kora also devoted herself to researching women's history, and in 1997 she personally established the Women's Culture Award, which is given to those who have contributed to the improvement of women's culture.
She passed away on December 12, 2021, at the age of 88.
The women in the Kora family are very accomplished and devoted to the advancement of women in society.
