We're thrilled to share positive results from the latest peer-reviewed study on Kivo’s AI-powered virtual pulmonary rehabilitation (PR) intervention for COPD patients.

Our care delivery model demonstrates both safety and efficacy across all patient groups – including those on supplemental oxygen and those not on supplemental oxygen.

Key Highlights:
- High Engagement: An impressive 88% median attendance rate, showing that our virtual approach is both feasible and engaging.
- Safety: Zero major adverse events, with only 1% of participants experiencing minor adverse events underscoring the safety of our care model.
- Clinical Efficacy: Participants showed statistically significant improvements in breathlessness, depression, and exercise capacity, with results meeting or surpassing clinically important benchmarks.
- Broad applicability: No significant difference in outcomes between patients on supplemental oxygen and those not.

This is the first study to directly compare patients on supplemental oxygen and those not on supplemental oxygen in a virtual setting, marking a significant step forward in personalized, scalable, and accessible COPD care.

Kivo Health had a productive visit to DC last week.

We participated in a hands-on discussion with Members and staff on the House Ways and Means Committee before the hearing "Enhancing Access to Care at Home in Rural and Underserved Communities."

We had a number of productive conversations with policymakers around the importance of telehealth for improving access, including for rural populations, and how to reduce overall costs of care with pulmonary rehab.

We commend the bipartisan support for continued coverage of Medicare telehealth services and look forward to continuing to work with policymakers to innovate around respiratory care.

This week, we celebrate all of the dedicated professionals who work to improve the health of those living with chronic lung disease. 💪 🫁

For the 16M+ people in the US with a chronic lung disease like COPD, pulmonary rehab (PR) can - as described by a Kivo patient - “finally offer hope”.
