Sisterhood is so powerful.

This past weekend, I was blessed with the opportunity to commune with a group of amazing women.

Each one brought their strengths and showed their vulnerabilities, and allowed us to hold and be held by one another.

I learned so much about myself, my nervous system, and was so grateful to be amongst these beautiful souls who spoke my language.

As I walk this path, and uncover the layers that present themselves, I am so honored to walk with these women, to be witnesses for eachother.

I have so much to learn, and also realized I also carry codes of wisdom. I am understanding the balance of humility and acknowledgment of my power. There can be both.

Thank you Robin Rivera for leading they way.

On a flight back from Seattle, I witnessed over 10 fires as I flew above. It rocked me to my core. To see them in person is a different experience… it made me contemplate my current lifestyle, and I couldn’t shake the feeling. So, I poured them out onto paper. It’s been long time….I hope you hear me.

My heart races
To fill the inner and outer spaces
As I witness the fires
Smoke rising higher and higher
I question this life of a frequent Flyer

Our world is burning
And yet she keeps on turning
The pages of her book,
Afraid to look, deeply
Are we that needy of a species?

We shake our heads,
then return to our threads.
How much more will we consume
Till we seal the fate of our impending doom?

The car, the bottled drink,
Stop to think, do I really need it?
Our earth, do I continue to bleed it?

A deep sadness over comes me
I look around, just how dumb are we?
Our resources are finite,
And our addiction to consumption is our Cryptonite.
It’s not just a you or me, this is a “we” thing
If we don’t stop there’s no happy ending.

Ignorance is not Bliss, it’s criminal
Don’t you see it’s all subliminal?

This culture of 2 day shipping
Is clipping the wings of our future
So before you click that buy button,
Question that inner glutton,
And make a choice…exercise that inner voice

Fight the urge to splurge,
As we are on the verge of collapse
Who do you want to be when you look back?

Across the park, the city had chosen to cut a few 40 year old elm trees that were a danger due to leaning. I couldn’t just watch them be chipped! So I reached out to and they put the word out to their urban salvage network. Mike came and hauled them away to be milled and distributed to the woodworker community. They even found an old burled stump from an earlier project. They’re connected now, to any upcoming projects from the city. I might get a few pieces for a cutting board or two :) Made me happy…can’t wait to see what comes of them. :D

Finally have some time for this project. It’s been a year since I found me some old AR-90’s at an estate sale in pristine condition. Each speaker comes with 2 10” subwoofers. Even had the boxes and stands?! Just needs some refoaming and they’re good to go! What a process though..scraping off the old foam and adhesive then removing it with good off. My OCD tendencies were most def being exercised, but I got them super clean! 😅 3 down and 3 more to go. It feels like my life right now...removing thing that no longer serve me and replacing the’ with things that do. A time of renewal. It was a meditative process, but came with neck and shoulder tension! Time for some yoga, and to apply some of the neurovascular release self~care work I just learned. Muscles can get stuck because they don’t have the proper blood flow and nerve tension due to restricted arteries and nerves. Anyone else had a pair of these and or have done a refoam? Who else is having some neck an shoulder tension these days? Recommendations? (besides not tensing up my neck?!) I should’ve known better, but I’m human too 😉

It’s a heatwave! Perfect simple cold salad to beat the heat...organic corn, avocado, heirloom tomato, balsamic, basil, olive oil, salt and pepper. I’m so grateful to live in a place with access to amazing food! Yum!

Love getting pampered by Kim ...amazing facials with her magic ultra-sonic spatula that dissolves the gunk, and the dodad that promotes collagen! She has a background in uses organic products, vitamin C masks...I even got a blueberry mask! Yum! Thanks for making feel like a queen kim!
