SF City Option honors Veterans Day, and the sacrifice and commitment of our community members who have served.

Many veterans who return to civilian life deal with mental health issues, substance use, and more. If you are struggling, you are not alone.

Veterans who have worked or currently work in SF may qualify for a San Francisco Medical Reimbursement Account (SF MRA). With funds in your SF MRA, you can get paid back for the cost of health services like therapy, and alcoholism and substance use treatment.

If your partner or child is a veteran, you can also use SF MRA funds to cover the cost of their care.

There are new eligible expenses that may now need a Letter of Medical Necessity from your provider in order to get your money back. Ask your provider to fill out the letter and then send in the filled-out form with your claim.
