My main focus is newborn care and lactation. I am natural with newborns and love sharing my tips and tricks with new parents. I understand how to relate to people and facilitate relationships. My love for children and newborns has inspired me to become a doula. I have a background of over 10 years of experience as a language instructor and preschool teacher back in my home country, Brazil. I have
also worked for a major genetic testing lab helping families get their prenatal and fertility tests. I am a mother to a 4-year-old daughter with autism so I am very passionate about working and helping children with disabilities. I have studied applied behavior analysis and sign language in order to help my daughter build the necessary skills to thrive in life. Facing a lot of breastfeeding challenges when I became a mother has inspired me to complete a program at the University of San Diego and become a lactation education counselor and it is my hope that I can come alongside women to empower them through their breastfeeding journey. As part of my lactation support, I will also bring a Medela hospital-grade scale to weigh your baby and make sure he/she is having an adequate milk intake and reduce the stress and anxiety from moms when they worry about supply issues. Working with families, I see the challenges parents face when it comes to getting the baby to sleep through the night and that’s why I became a certified pediatric consultant. I will provide loving care for your little one while you get some much-needed rest overnight while giving your baby the tools to establish healthy sleep habits from day one (not to be confused with Cry-it-Out sleep training!). I will be there through any challenges that may arise during your newborn journey and I will always be available to answer any of your questions, guiding and supporting you in whichever way is most helpful!
