✨2D, 3D, 5D... and AI?! What's the difference?!✨
🤰When booking a private ultrasound, you'll usually have the option to choose between a 2D or 3D session... but as ultrasound technology advances, it allows us to see baby in even more detail which means that you have even more imaging options to choose from! Very exciting but it can also get confusing!
Here are some images from a recent 3D Baby Co session so you can see the difference!🧐
1️⃣ 2D ULTRASOUND >> these are the typical black & white images that we're all familiar with! 2D imaging is great for assessing baby's anatomy... and of course getting that cute profile picture that everyone loves to see!
2️⃣ 3D ULTRASOUND >> unlike traditional 2D ultrasound, which captures a single cross-section of your baby, 3D ultrasound compiles multiple 2D images from different angles to create an image showing the entire surface of your baby's face! A basic 3D image usually has a gold, yellowish-brown, or "sepia" color to it
3️⃣ 5D ULTRASOUND >> sometimes referred to as "HD Live" or "Real View", this is an advanced ultrasound feature that allows us to add depth using light and shadows to give you a more life-like ultrasound picture of baby! These images will be more flesh-toned in color than the standard 3D (pictures 3 & 4 are both 5D images with different lighting)
4️⃣ AI ENHANCED >> often referred to as "8K" & now available to add-on to your 3D/4D session with The 3D Baby Co!🤩
Unlike traditional ultrasound images, which rely solely on sound waves to create a picture, AI-enhanced images use specialized software to add even more depth, smoothness, and further enhance facial details based on baby’s natural anatomy. This gives you an even more lifelike, high-resolution rendering of your little one’s face and an even clearer preview of what your baby might look like at birth!
