We are saying farewell to a favorite skin angel today 💕. Nurse Ari has been with BACD for SEVEN years! Today is her last day with us before she moves to a new city and begins this next chapter of life. Ari joined BACD right out of college as a medical assistant where she excelled in patient care. She went to nursing school and continued to work part time with us throughout her education. After graduation, we were honored to have her join the Nursing Team as a fully credentialed RN. We have learned so much from Ari and will miss her big smile dearly. It is a bittersweet goodbye and we wish her the very best! Thank you for everything, Nurse Ari!!! 🤗

Dr. Weddington brings years of experience and a patient-first philosophy that perfectly aligns with our mission. Before joining Bay Area Cosmetic Dermatology, he was an assistant professor at the University of Maryland Department of Dermatology, where he led their cosmetic dermatology division and trained future dermatologists in everything from injectables to lasers. Dr. Austin was honored to participate as a Little Wishes () Coordinator at Stanford Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital ().

Little Wishes is a nonprofit organization that brings moments of joy to seriously ill children by granting meaningful, personalized gifts on a continual basis throughout their hospital stay. These small but heartfelt gifts, such as toys, books, or special experiences, help provide comfort, hope, and happiness during a difficult time.

This special experience was shared with Alan, Dr. Austin’s husband, and new friend Barbara. All were overjoyed to help and to witness the love and light this program brings to each child.

Thank you to Little Wishes for this amazing opportunity to spend time with the wonderful Stanford team and Laura Euphrat, the founder of Little Wishes.

Just one treatment gave these dramatic results. Our Tixel Perioral Treatment uses heat to dehydrate channels that stimulate collagen production and make the tissue hyper absorptive to products that treat pigment, shrink blood vessels, and build collagen. We typically recommend Tixel to be done in a series of four treatments to see full results. The downtime can vary depending on the settings used; The settings used on this particular patient are considered aggressive and the downtime was not minimal.
