Patient Experience Week in 2025 will be celebrated from April 28th to May 2nd. This week is dedicated to acknowledging and appreciating the healthcare staff who positively impact the patient experience and is a time for organizations to recognize their achievements and efforts. The theme for 2025 is “Building the Foundations of Experience”. CCC Salutes all of those individuals that assist our clients with their healthcare needs in San Francisco. 💚

National Parkinson’s Awareness Month in April encourages us to participate in one or more events near you supporting further research bringing us closer to a cure.

Parkinson’s is a neurodegenerative disorder. Over time, this slowly progressing condition causes tremors, gait and balance issues, limb stiffness or rigidity, and a slow muscle movement. While each person responds differently to the disease, complications often become serious.
According to the Parkinson’s Foundation, approximately 60,000 Americans are diagnosed with the disease each year. While young adults are rarely diagnosed with Parkinson’s, the risks increase with age.

March 18 is the National Health Workforce Well-Being Day. This day recognizes the annual commemoration of progress in pursuit of improved health workforce well-being, and patient care outcomes. It recognizes the importance of protecting health workers’ well-being to sustain our health system and ensure quality patient care. It is also a day for action. Learning from one another on the progress to advance the movement to make system wide changes to improve health worker well-being and transform cultures.

Friday, February 21, 2025 was National Caregivers Day, a time to recognize and honor caregivers and their critical contributions to our families, communities and healthcare system. We share our appreciation for the dedication and compassion of professional and family caregivers who provide support and care to others. Thank you to our wonderful caregivers for joining us on Saturday for our 2024 Annual Training at Compassionate Community Care. We are celebrating our 24th Anniversary and our caregivers are the heart and soul of everything we are. Their compassion, patience, love and passion for helping others is what makes CCC so special. A huge shoutout to each and every one of our caregivers, who are making an invaluable impact on our client’s lives every day. We love you, we respect you and could not ask for a better group of individuals. ❤️

During Health Literacy Month, we urge you to put health literacy awareness into action! Together let’s build bridges between our organizations and the people who need health care or services. Greater health literacy helps us overcome barriers and challenges that may result in harm. By collectively working to improve health literacy, we’ll create a more equitable world where everyone can access high quality care and achieve positive health outcomes.

During NATIONAL BREAST CANCER AWARENESS MONTH, we honor the memories of all those we have lost to this devastating disease. We give strength and support to their families, to their caregivers, to survivors and to women still undergoing treatment. And we express our gratitude to all of the medical professionals and health researchers working tirelessly to end cancer as we know it.
